Or Denver found out that Kubiak really isn't interested and they're afraid of losing out in the Quinn Sweepstakes so Gase is looking mighty good to them right about now.

Keith Britton @KeithBritton86
.@MikeSilver on NFL Network just now: #Browns owner Jimmy Haslam was convinced last offseason Adam Gase was the man for the HC job

This. The Browns pretty much threw themselves at him and he was like "Uhm, yeah, you're the Browns......."
Jimmy Haslam was also convinced by a homeless guy to draft Johnny 8 Ball so this might not be the best endorsement for Gase.

I'd be happy with Gase or with Shanny for different reasons. I have more confidence in Shanny and I'm 99% sure the offense would be better with him, but Gase might be a real explosion of offense around here.

What the heck happened to the elite athlete that was Elway? Dude looks as old as John Fox these days, and in worse shape.

We need to resurrect the Harbaugh Hired thread and go back and see who opposed the idea and why. I would imagine there was a small minority of fans opposed to this move like there are now.

I don't want shanahan. We need young and innovative, not old and stubborn.

well didnt fox have a stroke or heart attack last year? he is probably under guidelines on how to live his life. elway hasnt played for 16 or 17 years and can let himself go a little bit.

Originally posted by CMIO:Typical webzone behavior. Everyone is convinced that Gase made Peyton (and not the other way around), and therefore Gase being the offensive genius that he is will get Kaep to function like Peyton, except on steroids bc Kaep has a bigger arm and is more mobile. Oh, and the running game will work out by default bc Gore still has "it" and Hyde is a great backup; we'll just pretend that Gase's lack of focus on the run (OUR STRENGTH) is just a hiccup in what is to become the greatest offense of all time.
Oh, and if Fangio leaves (you know, the guy that has made our defense look dominating the past few years), f**k HIM (even though he's said he would love to have Shanny around). We don't cater to losers, and based on our player personnel you could stick a monkey as our DC and we'd still be great.
Oh, and remember how Seattle owned the Broncos O ? Thats to Gase, thats all Manning and his misthrows and dropped passes and bad reads. Clearly, when the Broncos do great, its all Gase and his brilliant playcalling. When they get beat down or ousted from the playoffs, its all Manning and his noodle arm.
In that respect, why even give guys like Shanahan another thought. Who wants a guy that helped develop Young and that monster 94 SF offense. The guy that won multiple SBs with an aging Elway. The guy that made no-name RBs household names by back to back to back x infinity 1000 yard rushing seasons bc of his zone blocking scheme ? We don't need that has-been. The guy that Peyton Manning will credit for his HOF career deserves to be our HC.
Preach on brotha!
Not a fan of this Gase stuff. Especially critical of it if it means losing Fangio. I just don't get the thought process.

This is where I'm at also. I have always loved shanny, and I think his detractors are overblowing his negatives. However, gase is the young guy I'm most interested in and think it could be that homerun offensive hire.
