Again, Mike Shanahan is 62 years old. That's younger than Pete Carroll and Tom Coughlin, two HC's who have recently won Super Bowls.

I cant wait till Gase signs, because not only do i think he will be good, but watching the Webzone blow the f@ck up will be almost as entertaining

We need to resurrect the Harbaugh Hired thread and go back and see who opposed the idea and why. I would imagine there was a small minority of fans opposed to this move like there are now.
I was and still kind of am opposed to the firing of Harbs, but im over it now on to the next chapter and I hope that next chapter is Gase

It looks like Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase is on track to become the next head coach of the 49ers, but no deal has been signed and that means the Broncos are still free to talk to Gase...

Personally I think Elway is probably ready to move on from Manning and find the next man.

What the heck happened to the elite athlete that was Elway? Dude looks as old as John Fox these days, and in worse shape.

Meth...
If it was meth he would be way skinnier.....

Again Carroll and Coughlin have been with there teams a long time. Shanahan was out of football last year.
Wouldn't read a lot into the meeting with Elway as it's typically respectful and courteous to at least hear your boss out before you move on to another job if you had a good working relationship.

Gase already knows what to expect in Denver and I don't think he would be talking a deal with the 9ers if he was truly interested in coaching Denver over the 9ers.

its not so much about how old recent sb winning coaches have been. i'm interested in a guy who would stay 8-10 years if all went well. not sure i see shanahan as that at this stage of his career.

Amen to that. This would be the absolute worst option out there.

The Creator of the Universe has more important things to do. Please don't bother her with this kind of thing.

Truth. Many though Harbaugh was "the one" too. So we'll see. A lot can happen in 4 years.

He was the one. The one that got away. On to Gase.

He was the one who couldn't adapt once his system was figured out, the one who after four years still couldn't get a play in on time on a consistent basis. He was the one that threw the best sideline tantrums costing us calls at crucial points in games. The one who let his players become undisciplined on and off the field. The one who was consistently outcoached and unable to make second half adjustments. The one who was ultimately and unilaterally responsible for one of the the worst second half niner teams I have ever witnessed in my 35 seasons as a fan. He was the one who passed the buck onto player execution, even though that is ultimately his responsibility.
