Memphis, join the club man lol.
This was the result of my last debate with him

Lets move on. I think it is taken care of.

The biggest question mark for me is whether or not Gase can come in and install a culture, and get players to buy in. Sure he's a smart offensive guy, but it takes WAY MORE than that to be a good head coach. Remember we're a veteran team, and if I was one of the vet players, I would be super skeptical about Gase. He doesn't even pass the eye ball test when it comes to a leader of men.

#lanekiffin2.0

I agree about the eye test but I also believe we have a professional locker room for the most part. Guys will do their jobs if they can believe in the direction given. One thing is certain we have needed better direction offensively. I just hope guys buy into whomever we bring in

They'll respect him more than we respect your opinion.

Dude your the one attacking people because they don't agree with you, you need to chill.

Wait. Who did I attack? Proof?

You accused those who questioned your Gase = Nolan assertion of being blind. After being asked to clarify you did it again.

Who will be the OC if gase in charge? This whole thing is coming off gimmicky. What is the track record of 1St year HCS under 40?
Still want Pep but will be happy with Gase.

Gaalke?

Gase in the military? Sorry, too much of a stretch!
We need to hire someone asap. Getting too tense in here.

In my opinion, the hate of Gase is unwarranted.
Beginning this season, he started out with the offensive plan of let Manning do his thing and sling the ball. As Mannings game began to decline (old age started to show IMO) Gase was left with a task of putting together another dimension to the offense behind an undrafted RB (Hillman and Ball were both out)

Week 11 against the Rams, Manning throws the ball 54 times, CJ Anderson gets 9 touches. Broncos lose 22-7

Literally starting the week after, Gase recognized the problem, and adjusted accordingly (Greg Roman's vocabulary doesn't include the word adjust so it may be a new idea to some of us)

Week 12, Gase began to design runs for CJ against one of the best defenses at stopping the run (not the best IMO, but top 5)
Broncos beat Miami with Manning throwing 34 times and CJ getting 27 touches averaging 6.6 yards per carry
Denver wins 39-36

Week 13 Manning gets 34 attempts, CJ gets 32 against a somewhat over-rated Kansas City run defense
Broncos win at KC 29-16 with CJ averaging 5.3 yards per carry

Week 14 Manning gets 20 attempts with CJ getting 21, first time in Manning's Denver career a bronco RB gets more carries than Manning has attempts
Going against the toughest run defense (IMO) in Buffalo, CJ gets 21 carries with 3 tds averaging 4.2 YPC

Week 15 Manning gets another 20 attempts and again, CJ Anderson gets more attempts with the ball than Manning. CJ has a bad night against a mediocre run defense (San Diego) but the Broncos still win 22-10

Week 16 Manning throws more than he has in the past 3 weeks. Manning records 44 attemps and CJ gets 18. Manning posts a 2 TD night coupled with 4 ints.
CJ on the other hand gets 4.6 YPC with a TD. Broncos lose to the Bengals 28-37

Week 17 The Broncos play the Raiders. To be honest, it doesn't really matter what you do, you should win.
CJ averaged 6.7 YPC with 3 tds. Manning threw the ball 37 times without any INT's or TDs.

TLDR:
The Broncos had been relying on a pass first offense, hardly giving Ball/Hillman/Anderson any touches.
Over the last couple weeks, when Peyton began to decline, Gase started running the ball more. Behind a line that was built to defend the QB, and using a 3rd string UDFA RB, Gase was able to evolve Denver's offense into more of a balanced/run first offense.
The result was the Broncos going 5-1 over the last 6 weeks beating teams like Miami, KC (@ KC), and San Diego. The week they did lose Manning threw for 44 attempts and CJ touched the ball 18 times. I'd venture to say that not only did they evolve a running game, but they started to depend on it.

Points to Gase for recognizing such a need and starting a run game from scratch

Agreed,
I'll start off with my stance about Gase again because I think this post got lost in whatever just happened.

Anyways, I think this if the first time I quoted myself lol
