Gase plays too much Madden. Not confident he can lead us past the Seahawks

Not sure but it has been reported that Gase will call his own plays. After Nolan and Singletary I'm very wary 1st time HC;s

Gase is the Mike Nolan option.
Only if you are blind to the big picture.
If you're blind, I can't make you see.
Or maybe you're just full of ????.
Or maybe I'm not, and you're too scurred to admit that I'm quite correct to have reservations about a 36 year old guy with ZERO HC experience, who made a name for himself calling plays for a QB who calls his own plays. You should be honest and exercise your faculty for critical thought.
Well then I honestly, after exercising my faculty for critical thinking, am now convinced of the verify of my previous pontification as to the content of your assertions.
????.
I reported this as a personal attack on me.
I never use this icon...well, can't say that now...but I'm sure the mods will really appreciate your reporting! LOL!

Hopefully Baalke's phone call with Gase is very serious today or else we might have to wait a while longer.

It will probably clear things up. We get him or have to keep looking.

Sure he's a smart offensive guy, but it takes WAY MORE than that to be a good head coach. Remember we're a veteran team, and if I was one of the vet players, I would be super skeptical about Gase. He doesn't even pass the eye ball test when it comes to a leader of men.

I agree about the eye test but I also believe we have a professional locker room for the most part. Guys will do their jobs if they can believe in the direction given. One thing is certain we have needed better direction offensively. I just hope guys buy into whomever we bring in
True. I'd be confident if Gase was replacing Singletary.....Harbaugh otoh is a touch act to follow.

My opinion on a phone call is that nothing will probably be decided today. IF Elway basically offers Gase the HC position before interviewing a minority candidate it solidifies the mockery of the Rooney rule. I'm sure the 49ers won't let Gase have a week to consider their offer (if there is one on the table).
On the contrary, I believe the phone call will be it, either yes or no. Baalke knows full well that he needs to go to scramble mode should Gase decide to stay in Denver. There is no time to mess around here. If Baalke wasn't rush for time, he wouldn't have scheduled a phone call within the same day after Gase's meeting with Elway. He could have given him more time, say another day or so. There is no point to set up a phone call just to say "hey Trent, I need some time to think about this", that would be pointless.

Brian Daboll, TE coach in NE, could be an option if McDaniels stays in NE. They worked together as assistants at MSU. Friends with him and McDaniels. Daboll also has OC experience and is still young, 39 years old.Originally posted by lamontb:Originally posted by brodiebluebanaszak:Who will be the OC if gase in charge?
