Right, because Holmgren won a Superbowl almost 20 years ago, that is pertinent to today. Why not call up George Seifert then? He won two of them.

Gase calls plays for Peyton Manning.
McDaniels calls plays for Tom Brady.
Hue Jackson, Teryl Austin, and Todd Bowles all proved this weekend why they would be horrible coaches for SF.
The best choices out there for us are Shanahan, Kubiak, and Holmgren. Don't get why age is such a turnoff for you guys -- we're not the Pittsburgh Steelers. We've shown in years past that our coaches (aside from Bill Walsh) do not usually make it to the 5 year mark, and they never will.
