Well at least the Warriors are promising. I hope they win it all because I'm afraid we are gonna suck again for a very long time.

lol, this. In many ways it feels like Singletary. Atlanta and a couple of other teams interviewed Singletary and all the stories were that some other team could swoop in and make him HC, so the 49ers jumped in and the rest was history.


Nobody across the NFL was banging down the door for him.


I'll give Tomsula a chance but right now I'm pretty irate and just ranting and getting it out of my system. I don't have a good feeling about how this will turn out.

Exactly why is Adam Gase a much better option than Tomsula?

One of these guys has been a coach for over 30 years and the other is 36 years old.

One has been in SF for over a decade and has ALWAYS been highly regarded. The other was here for a year as an assistant to Mike Martz.

Say what you will about not being an offensive coach, I gotta tell you, I don't hate this hire. I'd like it if Fangio stayed, but I don't have an issue with Tomsula. Would I have liked a "sexier" pick? Sure, but "sexy" doesn't win games.

What matters now is who gets hired in the coordinator positions. If it does end up being Trestman, we won't have to worry about him being plucked as a HC anytime soon.

Well, my reason is that we had a high performance car with a problem in the ignition, so we just hired a tire guy to fix it. Other than that...I have no idea if Tomsula will be the second coming of Bill Walsh...or the second coming of...never mind...don't want to think about it!

However! I tend to be an optimist so will assume we will hire a WCO OC and a great DC and all will be right with the world...no percentage in assuming the opposite.

The only thing we will be competing for is that #1 pick.

I heard enough of that BS when Singletary was hired and Jed piped up "THIS IS THE LAST TIME we go home in December."
