That's the point...Harbaugh was a player's coach. Tomsula is even more of a player's coach. Fangio was a no nonsense coach. Hmm...did they go in the right direction? I guess time will tell.

Good question. Perhaps they felt he needed a few more years under his belt in the NFL. Now that he's been here 8 years, they feel he's ready. We'll see if they hired the right guy. The OC hire is going to be HUGE. Absolutely paramount to our success going forward.

Pretty piss poor is if tomsula was working behind harbs back during the season to position for the job. Not much class and integrity if that's the case. (Could have been the guy leaking s**t )

Plus yorks so dumb with his choice of statements. Wants continuity then goes as said tomsula was by far the best choice for the job ...... Imagine how much that makes fangio want to stay.

I'm gonna reserve judgement until we're make coordinator hires. But right now I'm not a fan. Especially if we lose well respected coaches like rathman , solari and fangio. Definetely not a ringing endorsement when his you've worked with for a long time want out

Well if Tomsula has the balls to say this isnt working, we need a different system....its better than Harbs.

Kap is a project and one that not every OC will want to deal with. He may want a traditional drop back passer, Kap is not that right now...probably wont be one next year either.

you injected kap into a discussion to plant a seed that had no business being brought up in this thread.
gase wanted the job, they called him to tell him he wasn't going to get it.

Nothing official, but let's be honest. The national media, as much as we hate them, has been on point about our team for well over a year. Where there is smoke, there is fire, and chances are very strong we're about to undergo a significant overhaul to the entire staff.

I'm arming up to the hire. Yes he is a players coach, but he is also an X and Os guy so Idk why u guys compare him to sing, he has been coaching in the league for a while, and he has head coaching experience. I just wished he was hired right away rather than drag this on.

He's not anything like Singletary. That I agree 100% with. But he has to hit the OC hire out of the park, in addition to the rest of his staff.
