DC in Europe for a couple of years. Other than that he was always a DL coach. 17/18 years as a coach. Not sure what he did from college til he went to Europe...still researching.

So Harbs had it in his contract that all coaches were under his control...so we got stuck with Roman. looks like we aren't making that mistake again. for better or worse this what we get now.

Seriously can you be more disrespectful to the new HC of the team you supposedly are a fan of? A man who was not an outside hire, but instead a longtime 49er who has red and gold flowing through his veins?

Some of these posts are quite unbecoming.

So, let me get this straight.

The players who have sat in a meeting room with Tomsula for hundreds of hours, seen him gameplan, interacted with him on the sideline and played for him all rave about him and support the hire. Even the ones not on the roster any longer and have NO incentive to publicly support him.

Yet, fans think he's not cut out for the gig?

Time to check your fan ego at the door and realize maybe, just maybe, you're not qualified to offer an informed opinion. Tomsula hasn't even had a chance to disappoint you yet. At least give him a chance to f**k up.

This actually seems like a more respectful way to do it. Instead of a peer getting that coveted promotion and lays you off immediately, you get a call from the GM personally to tell you the news.

It's all conjecture right now until hard facts are communicated. I mean 24 hours ago, Adam Gase was our HC...
