Some of these posts are quite unbecoming.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that isn't true.

So, let me get this straight.

The players who have sat in a meeting room with Tomsula for hundreds of hours, seen him gameplan, interacted with him on the sideline and played for him all rave about him and support the hire. Even the ones not on the roster any longer and have NO incentive to publicly support him.

Yet, fans think he's not cut out for the gig?

Time to check your fan ego at the door and realize maybe, just maybe, you're not qualified to offer an informed opinion. Tomsula hasn't even had a chance to disappoint you yet. At least give him a chance to f**k up.

The players reacted the EXACT same way when Singletary was hired.

Are you talking about Tomsula or Singletary?
How many years are left on Baalke's contract? I bet he bolts at the first chance he gets.

Yes teaching... Teaching defensive linemen. Has he tought any other positions?

DC in Europe for a couple of years. Other than that he was always a DL coach. 17/18 years as a coach. Not sure what he did from college til he went to Europe...still researching.

Head coach of the Rein Fire 2006.

I am with this. When I see a coach player or whomever it is out and about and on gamedays grinding representing and rocking our regal red and gold colors I can't help but to support those individuals. I have faith that our FO JT and our players will give us everything they got in 2015

Tomsula isnt Singletary

We don't know that yet. I agree that he's more experienced as a coach and a better coach overall but the potential is always there for him to fall flat on his face. The 49ers went out and hired a guy that nobody else even wanted to talk to. The reports about him politicking for the job during the season are also kind of worrisome.

Like I said, I'll reserve further judgment until I see what the coaching staff ends up looking like.

Couldn't agree more. One thing I noticed that really irked me and tipped me that Tomsula was already told he would be the 2016 head coach is that the last 2 games of the season (which I was at) Tomsula was always standing out on the field (like the head coach). He would literally run out in front of Harbaugh to bark out things on both offensive and defensive drives. It seemed extremely disrespectful to Harbaugh and like a pretty sleazy political move to burn in everyone's brains that he looks like a head coach.

How do we gain anything by hiring a guy in-house with no NFL coordinator experience/expertise and NO connections to good OC's and DC's. We could have easily hired Shannahan or Gase, justified keeping Fangio and not rocked the boat at all while improving the offense. Now we lost a top 3 DC, what would have been a top 5 OC (serving as HC), and the entire staff.

I don't want this team to fail just to spite York, but if this drags us back into losing season mediocrity I would prefer the 49ers to fall right on it's face and make the necessary changes swiftly (actual outside and well consulted GM search, get a franchise qb, and hold out for excellent coaching candidate).

Tomsula has done that his entire career with the 49ers. It's the type of coach he is. Have you not watched many games before or not paid attention to what he was doing before? No disrespect, but that's the only treason I can think of somebody thinking he wasn't like that his whole career with us.

(and I assume you meant 2015?)

Phoenix mentioned earlier about reports that Tomsula campaigned for the job this season. Is this what the reports focused on? Him running out there? Anybody??

Really anxious for more info about all this. What a crazy f**kin off season already!

Is Jed incompetent? Like is he really a f**kin moron? Is his goal to save $ by getting rid of almost all the coaching staff? What do people think is his true intentions with all this s**t?

Are you just asking random rhetorical questions and directing them at me, or are you just lashing out because you are upset about this offseason?

Lmao.. I was curious about the reports of Tomsula campaigning for the job this season and was wondering if him running out in front of harbaugh was all there was to it.

Not even upset, more confused than anything. f**kin love JT. Just tripping out a little bit. My bad carry on!
