He may not have been but I was willing to give it another season to see if they tried to fix anything. If he fails two years in a row then fine cut him, but it was one bad season. Like it has been said before suits are easy to find good coaches are not.

Our options are crap right now. The seasoned coaches who have proven themselves in the past haven't done anything positive in the last decade. The younger guys are hidden behind QB's like Payton Manning, or destroyed one QB after another in Rex Ryan (seriously)!!! McDaniels maybe ok but I don't see anything special about him one bit! Shanahan took RG3 and found a way to put him in a hospital every game. Then there are college coaches which are a toss up like Jim was. But Jim was a very well known NFL prospect, I don't see any teams clamoring for those other guys.

he is becoming my favorite option. He built a hell of a defense and had that offense playing at a good level before schaub starting playing for the other teams by throwing pick 6s every game lol

Kubiak is better than mcdaniels , Tomsula . He did okay in Houston

I posted any of the OC/HCs of TCU, Fla State, Oregon, Ohio state, and Baylor. From this new yrs day, the obvious choice, head and shoulders over anyone is
Mark Helfrich, Oregon, and his playcaller up in the box. Wow!, this has 49ers written all over it. No reads for QB, just call play and run it. And kap can get it done fast. No more harbaugh bullschidt of taking all day to get play in. Gad that was bad, and when that is going on 4 yrs, you have the wrong HC and OC.

All opposing defenses had to do was watch the play clock and when it hit 1 second launch themselves across the line of scrimmage.

Yes, its sad when your watching the Niners O' lined up, and you find yourself watching for that play clock to count down, and it often does

Adam Schefter says that Shanahan had a 4 hr interview with the Niners, and the York/Baalke were impressed, and have him under strong consideration for the job.
