I'm 100% in favor of Vic Fangio getting the job. He's exactly what our team needs in a leader. Read Cam's latest article on him. He hits the nail on the head.

What about Kap and the offense? I think we can all agree the defense has never even been in question the last 4 years. Its the offense.

I just have confidence that he would get us the right guy for the offense.
I really feel like i get dumber after listening to KNBR talk about the coaching search.

No guarantee Chud goes anywhere, as far as I know he's under contract with Indy and is next in line for OC if and when Hamilton gets a HC gig.

Linehan is the only one that I know for sure has an expiring contract.

but he would have full controll of our offense - I don´t think that would be the case in Indy!!!

Good article here http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2319381-san-francisco-49ers-vic-fangio-should-be-the-head-coach-in-2015

If He grabs a very very good OC (that hopefully doesn't get poached in a year) then I wouldn't hate it.

I am reading now, thanks. I love Fangio, I'm just implying we know the defense will be championship caliber. Its the damn offense that needs work. Its not a knock on Fangio as its just an admittance its not his area of expertise.

Pat McPherson is the TE coach in Seattle right now. Is from Santa Clara, is only 45 years old and spent 11 years with the Broncos.

Looks like we will have time to interview Kubiak... as long as he loses this weekend...

Per @RapSheet, Todd Bowles will interview with 49ers on Friday. 7-10 day search likely going to be longer

He'll bring an OC in that'll get the job done with his oversight. He knows the issues.

Per @BruinReport, Jim Mora will interview today or tomorrow for the open New York Jets head coaching job:

http://ucla.scout.com/story/1499038-is-mora-to-the-nfl-a-real-possibility?s=12

However, sources are telling us that Mora's name is also down the list of preferred candidates for the 49ers job. Interestingly, former Jets head coach Rex Ryan is rumored to be the leading candidate. We've also heard there could be a history with the 49ers that could make Mora being the coach there less likely. Other names that are probably higher than Mora on the lists of both the 49ers and the Jets are Todd Bowles, the defensive coordinator with the Arizona Cardinals, and Dan Quinn, the Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator.
