Per @RapSheet, Todd Bowles will interview with 49ers on Friday. 7-10 day search likely going to be longer

Not to sound all racist....

....but sounds like teams are competing over timeslots for Rooney Rule interviewees...delaying process.

I'm sure they are deserving, but obvious every team needs to interview at least one to satisfy the rule.

Reported two weeks ago that 4 NFL teams reached out to UCLA coach Jim Mora about pending openings, and SF and NYJ had serious intent.
I'm starting to warm up to Fangio. At first I was against this hire because I don't want a defensive coach be ause of all the issues on offense. But Fangio is a guy that understands what is wrong with our offense and will probably get an top notch OC and leave him alone while working with the new DC to create the most dominant defense of all time.

Fangio is my first choice. I was not keen about Shanahan but he could bring that zone running scheme that works and may be better against Seahawks then the power scheme.

But the last 4 years it has been the Defense that has made this team compete every week.

Per @BruinReport, Jim Mora will interview today or tomorrow for the open New York Jets head coaching job:

http://ucla.scout.com/story/1499038-is-mora-to-the-nfl-a-real-possibility?s=12

However, sources are telling us that Mora's name is also down the list of preferred candidates for the 49ers job. Interestingly, former Jets head coach Rex Ryan is rumored to be the leading candidate. We've also heard there could be a history with the 49ers that could make Mora being the coach there less likely. Other names that are probably higher than Mora on the lists of both the 49ers and the Jets are Todd Bowles, the defensive coordinator with the Arizona Cardinals, and Dan Quinn, the Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator.

Please not Rex.

The offense is bad enough already.

I'm 100% in favor of Vic Fangio getting the job. He's exactly what our team needs in a leader. Read Cam's latest article on him. He hits the nail on the head.

What about Kap and the offense? I think we can all agree the defense has never even been in question the last 4 years. Its the offense.

Fangio is a Teacher We Need

I am reading now, thanks. I love Fangio, I'm just implying we know the defense will be championship caliber. Its the damn offense that needs work. Its not a knock on Fangio as its just an admittance its not his area of expertise.

He'll bring an OC in that'll get the job done with his oversight. He knows the issues.

Good reads. If he can get the right offensive staff on board its a legitimate move.

Jesus Christ i live in NYC. REX is a good person, but a s**t HC. He is a DC. We already have a great DC.
It's gonna be Fangio I think. I don't like it, but that's the feeling I get.

Im predicting Fangio, hope it happens soon so he can tweak his coaching staff a bit, and bring in an OC, though Fang may like Chryst for that role

When Ravens beat 49ers in Supebowl and Bowman was being interviewed, Ray Lewis and Suggs were being rude and never wished 49ers well on a hard fought game. Did Harbaugh lose his job.

34 year old owner has never worked hard to earn what he was given, argues with Strong personality coach. Coach is let go and owner is looking for some one to kiss the ground he walks on.

I always loved Holmgren. If he were coming in simply as the HC I would be all for it.
