Wont sleep well...
This coaching search was... a joke
Anyone know a Ravens fan? Did they implode too when they hired John Harbaugh from position coach?

He came across as a blue-collar everyman, a man of the people who probably wasn't the man to lead an NFL team on full-time basis. His players, however, blew his cover, noting he was doing plenty of teaching to a 5-10 team that beat Arizona, 38-7, with him in charge.
"(The season) was defined by mental mistakes," Jean Francois said after the 2010 finale. "Not being prepared for certain situations. When situations happened, I felt like we weren't prepared for that moment and it slipped out of our hands.
"This week of practice, with Tomsula, it was like we were preparing for every situation: four minutes, two minutes. What happens when it's 3rd-and-1? What happens when we're backed up in the end zone? He worked on every different situation so that when we got in the game it didn't feel brand new."

Happy for JT. He IS an excellent "teacher" and very "classy" and maybe he becomes the next JOHN Harbaugh. Maybe he has great connections inside the NFL and can bring in fantastic coordinators? Assistants. I don't want this SHOCKING NEWS to take away from him but...yeah...
I share the same views.
Hopefully they can bring in a great OC, I actually really like this move
Good to see the other smart posters who understand football are on the same page as me.
Everyone who is mad about this hire They are the same uninformed nobodies who think Jed York is a bad owner.

So funny in about an hour we will see that he got about 2 million less than Harbaugh. Then we can finally confirm that Jed York is the biggest joke in the NFL. He was looking for a cheap "Yes" man and found him in JT. So I guess taking a d line coach is the way to improve the offense. Our great teacher for the next 10 years was someone Harbaugh kept on his staff. Lol

Jason Cole @JasonPhilCole
So the #49ers went through a 2-week search and hired the guy who was gunning for the job all along. Hmmm

The 49ers knew they'd be hiring a HC for months. If it took them nearly 3 wks to hire one who was under their noses, what does that tell us?
That they decided to thoroughly search through all the head coach candidates? This tweet is just silly.
