look at what Roman is doing for Buffalo.

our head coach is a joke.

Well it certainly makes you wonder what was wrong with our team and continues to be wrong with this team. We got a new coach that's supposedly a master of the X's & O's and an excellent teacher. So either our new coaching staff has been oversold as something they are not, we've always had some issues with the roster, or it's a combination of both.

Perhaps Roman sucked balls here was because we didn't have the offensive talent we somehow convinced ourselves we had. If our talent level on offense wasn't there, that would point to a different area of the organization that was not doing its job.

where was it written Tomsula was supposedly a master of the X's and O's

This was being mentioned everywhere - mostly Jed's way of selling the hire - Tomsula master teacher and X's & O's guy (also implying the former coaching staff was not these things).

He might be good at teaching D linemen but he doesn't know anything about offense and so far hasn't shown he can manage a game.

not really.

"As an X's and O's coach, there's nobody better," Smith says. "But he's not going to be doing as much of that anymore. As head coach, he has to do the stuff he hates: dealing with media, dealing with ownership."
York and Baalke wanted "teachers." I am curious, what are the players being taught? Has media asked any players about what the coaching staff is "teaching" them?

i've heard it ALL....

Don't know what's all that surprising, lol. People reading WAAAAAAAAAY too much into that. All he said is we're more of a power running team in the mold of teams like the Seahawks, Chiefs, and Vikings, than a pass-happy system like New Orleans/Detroit have been.

Jed wanted to be in the "Men OnlY" meetings and wanted Jim to teach him the rules of football

he is gonna stay with the 49ers next season.

Oh my god...... I can't imagine two years of tomsula. You can tell he has no idea how to fix this team....

Fair enough. Tell me, however, WHY? In the past 15 years, which style has been more effective?

Some students pick things up quickly, most take some time but eventually get it to a satisfactory level, and some never get it, regardless of how skilled, devoted and innovative the teacher. Just because the team isn't winning games at the moment doesn't mean they're not being taught well. It takes time. We're three weeks in with a young team (and a good win). If we're not performing much better (and I don't necessarily mean winning) in a few more weeks, then we should be asking questions about the coaching, but the people who are calling for heads to roll are too impatient.
"Their passing game was simplified so much, it was easy for us to anticipate routes and get some good breaks on the ball today," Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu said.
Sombody get this man a clipboard.
I remember when I got called out for calling this coaching staff pathetic before the season started. The only one I had belief in was Mangini. I'm looking bad there
