Jim Tomsula on #KNBR on what he is drawing on during the #49ers losing skid. "Jim Tomsula has to be Jim Tomsula everyday."

WTF is this guy talking about?????

He's saying double-guessing himself just for the sake of it, or listening to others' advice without his own analysis, or trying to play the game of WWJHD (What Would Jim Harbaugh Do?) is not a means to correct the problems at hand. It means he's confident in his abilities to correct the issues through the processes he's always used in coaching. It's not a cryptic statement by any means.

Um, yeah they did.

They quit on Nolan all the time. Dingleberry too.

When I say quit, i don't mean tune them out, I mean jog around like its preseason. I can't remember ever seeing the lack of effort I saw last Sunday.
In his defense, I'm sure during practices the team looks great. Offense is real evenly matched with the defense.

You haven't been a 49er fan very long then.

WAYYY worse under Singletary and Nolan at the end. WAYYY worse.

This team hasn't quit on Tomsula yet. They may have quit on their QB after two pick 6's, but definitely not Tomsula.

Also, Singletary had a MUCH better roster. Nolan Built a solid foundation for Singletary, and eventually Harbs. Singletarys team underachieved over and over again.

Anything above .500 for this roster was going to be a huge accomplishment, and highly unlikely.

They should be. 32nd in scoring offense and 31st in points allowed.

Yeah, pretty much. I think Jimmy T is learning he needs to do things his way. He's a smart football mind. He knows defense in particular. He has all the power in the world to say, "Look, Eric (Mangini), this isn't working. Our guys are built to pattern match and that's where they've had the most success. Let's implement this and build off of what we KNOW they're already good at instead of making them play outside of their character."

How this team changes going forward is going to be big. Tomsula is running the show. He wants to let people do their thing, but at the same time he needs to be able to recognize when that isn't cutting it and say, "Here's what I see, and what I want us to do going forward."
With the huge loss of talent from last year this can't all be put on Tomsula but you could see a lot of frustration on the field Sunday. What happens if the Packers come into Santa Clara and do the same thing. It will get interesting. I think this team was very talented the last couple years and it helped cover up a lot of Kaepernicks problems. If this team goes 2-14 or 3-13 and is in position to draft a QB is this the coaching staff you want around for the process. Should be fun to watch it unfold. I hope Jimmy T can get things figured out as I like him. But this seems to be a continuation of the dumpster fire the 49ers have been the last year.

What pissed me off the most about the Arizona game was it seemed like the coach's quit after halftime. Usually, teams can score in garbage time, but the 49ers couldn't even muster a field goal. The play calling was consistant with having no chance of sucess. They ran it 14 times in a row because they lost faith in Kap, yet they didn't pull Kap, just kept him in the game. These coach's have no business being in the NFL and it's going to be a long year.
That interview on KNBR this AM was pathetic. Makes me really wonder wtf is going on with this organization
Anyone calling for Tomsulas head has simply wanted him to fail from day one. Period. You don't start calling for the head of a rookie HC three games into the toughest starting schedule of any NFL team this season. Anyone doing so is doing so out of spite and for no other reason.

Lets not forget Harbaugh was 1-2 to start last season losing to the bears AT HOME! That was a much more talented roster facing a much easier schedule.

We just finished a very tough two game road trip against two of the very best teams in the NFL. Lets let the season play out.

This is such an over played cliche. We didn't just lose to 2 playoff teams, were were absolutely slaughtered. Terrible teams get slaughtered. The players had no clue what to do because they are horribly coached. Comparing it to last year when we went 1-2, losing in competitive games is ridiculous.Terrible comparison. If you enjoy this type of football, then all power to you if you want to defend the coaching staff. I will not. Tomsula's lack of experience is clearly evident. I don't expect much from this year.

My biggest beef with this staff is actually on the defensive side of the ball.

You have the following DC/former DC experienced coaches on staff:
- Mangini
- Tarver
- Pendergast
- Lewis

That's about 50% of your defensive staff right there. And they are not playing to the strengths of this team that Fangio astutely ran. That's been the biggest disappointment when you still have continuity with Bowman, Reid, Bethea, Brooks, Wilhoite, Dorsey, Brock, and others that saw solid time over the past few seasons.

However, none of those guys make up for loss of Aldon, Justin, McDonald, Willis and Borland. Those guys were ALL better than any of the guys you listed above. Now add in the losses of Culliver and Cox and you have a recipe for defensive problems.
Tom Sulacuses are already flying? This team looked like they quit. This team is also running their mouths at each other. Thats tomsula's area.
