Lets not forget Harbaugh was 1-2 to start last season losing to the bears AT HOME! That was a much more talented roster.

We just finished a very tough two game road trip against two of the very best teams in the NFL. Lets let the season play out.

This is such an over played cliche. We didn't just lose to 2 playoff teams, were were absolutely slaughtered. Terrible teams get slaughtered. The players had no clue what to do because they are horribly coached. Comparing it to last year when we went 1-2, losing in competitive games is ridiculous.Terrible comparison. If you enjoy this type of football, then all power to you if you want to defend the coaching staff. I will not. Tomsula's lack of experience is clearly evident. I don't expect much from this year.

Exactly only bad teams get blown out back to back itsits going to be a long year and Baalke and Yorkie are on the hot seat

What pissed me off the most about the Arizona game was it seemed like the coach's quit after halftime. Usually, teams can score in garbage time, but the 49ers couldn't even muster a field goal. The play calling was consistant with having no chance of sucess. They ran it 14 times in a row because they lost faith in Kap, yet they didn't pull Kap, just kept him in the game. These coach's have no business being in the NFL and it's going to be a long year.

I agree. Tomsula claimed he just wanted to settle everyone down. That's why he kept running it and with no success.
Hopefully it gets better, But the owners son said "this is our Steve Keer move ". Ah no.

The problem is that there is no Jerry West in the organization and Baalke is no Myers.
There was also no Knicks competing for Tomsula
The body language of the players reminded me of last year when harbaugh rumors of his firing were common. Did anybody else notice that? Like a ship without a rudder.
One big reason the hire of Tomsula bothers me is the fact that Trent hand picked his staff. Usually a well sought candidate will bring his staff with him. Unfortunately everyone was already here.

Cliche?

Does your top 5 NFL teams this season not include the Steelers or Cardinals? Mine sure does. If i was a betting man right now, i say its AZvsGB and NEvsPIT in the nfc/afc championship games. Guess what? We have GB next.

Yes we lost bad. AZ IMO is likely a much more competitive game if we don't spot them 14 to start the game. Thats not on coaching. Thats on Kap.

Also losing to the bears at home last season was a much worst loss than either of the two losses this season. We lost to a horrible bears team giving up 21 unanswered points in the 4th quarter in our stadium opener. That game was one of the most embarrassing games in franchise history whether you believe it or not.

We will win more games this season. I promise. We will also lose more. I know no one wants to get spanked in back to back weeks, but people that are enraged and over reacting this week have one of two issues working against them. Either A- Their expectations going into the season were wayyyy too high- Or B- They wanted the team and staff to fail, from the begining and now are trying desperately to prove something by screaming how right they were. They knew it all along.

And people talking about Tomsulas presser can watch this...

If i hated the 49ers as much as some around here do i would find a new team to support.

Some of you guys say that people wanted Tomsula to fail. I don't think people want him to fail, I just think he wasn't the right choice for HC and also he's proving that he wasn't qualified.

It isn't the record. It is the way we lost, and how the players look. Who exactly on the team is "teaching" the QB to play the position? Because all I see are horrible reads and horrible mechanics. Who is scheming LB's to cover opposing teams fastest receivers? Jed said he hired this coaching staff to be better teachers. Are you going to feel the same after THREE losses like that?

If he can keep Fangio (which is unlikely) and find a great OC (also unlikely), then the hire would be great.

Exactly, they can't. I've asked them to explain how it makes sense three times now.

He doesn't have to help the offense. He just needs to hire people who can. Just because you are a D coach doesn't mean your D will be great. Same goes with offense. There are many examples of that in this league.

Brian Billick was supposedly a great offensive mind. His offense was mediocre in Baltimore. Gruden was suppose to be an offensive genius. His offense in Tampa was also mediocre. Dungy was a D coach, but his offense was way better than his defense in Indy.

Hilarious.

And I can't for the life of me see why any opf them merited the promotions they got.
What did Geep and Mangini do to impress the brass? They must be easy to work with.

With the huge loss of talent from last year this can't all be put on Tomsula but you could see a lot of frustration on the field Sunday. What happens if the Packers come into Santa Clara and do the same thing. It will get interesting. I think this team was very talented the last couple years and it helped cover up a lot of Kaepernicks problems. If this team goes 2-14 or 3-13 and is in position to draft a QB is this the coaching staff you want around for the process. Should be fun to watch it unfold. I hope Jimmy T can get things figured out as I like him. But this seems to be a continuation of the dumpster fire the 49ers have been the last year.

This idea scares the crap out of me. I am starting to lose hope of my boy Kap turning it around here with this staff. Particularly if teams have already figured out our new coaching staffs passing game by game 3 of the new regime.

When I say quit, i don't mean tune them out, I mean jog around like its preseason. I can't remember ever seeing the lack of effort I saw last Sunday.

You haven't been a 49er fan very long then.

WAYYY worse under Singletary and Nolan at the end. WAYYY worse.

This team hasn't quit on Tomsula yet. They may have quit on their QB after two pick 6's, but definitely not Tomsula.

Also, Singletary had a MUCH better roster. Nolan Built a solid foundation for Singletary, and eventually Harbs. Singletarys team underachieved over and over again.

Anything above .500 for this roster was going to be a huge accomplishment, and highly unlikely.

since 72

One of my best friends lives at Pillar right next to Westgate so I just park there. She works almost all the time anyways so I just normally use her spot when I head out there for events.

Niner fans take over the Purple lot.... It's a pretty cool experience.... A little slice of home....
Geep isn't the reason why Kaep sucks. Geep was told by Tomsula to "simplify" the playbook and have plays that Kaep is comfortable in. In other words, the playbook was "dumb" down for Kaep. Even a dumbed down playbook can't help Kaep. He can't even read defenses, panics and either calls time out or just scrambles or throws the ball away. Kaep lacks the accuracy and the "touch" in his passes.
