I can't stand to look at his pathetic face next to our gorgeous helmets. Makes me want to punt his head.

Why would he do that? I want him out as much as anyone but I don't him to resign. That would let the Yorks off the hook for making a piss poor decision and having to pay him. He should get every penny out of them as possible.
He can't resign. If you resign from your contract, they owe you nothing. You may even owe them something if there's language about early exit. When the owner terminates you they owe you for the balance of your contact unless there's language with a fixed settlement amount. I think there's only been 2 coaches in the NFL that didn't get their balance paid out : Kiffin (Raiders), Shanny(Redskins). The owners need to prove some negligence or failure of team rules and was the reason for Al Davis' overhead projector debacle. I think the court even sided with Davis.
I don't think York will try to prove any sort of wrong doing with Tomsula, so if he gets canned they will owe him his remaining 3 years at 2.5M/yr or $7.5M. This is why I think so many zoners are thinking York won't pull the plug, because of the payout. However if you look at the lost revenue and potential cancellations will they eclipse $7.5M? Probably. The Niners franchise was valued at #3 or 4 in the league, mostly due to a new stadium, I'm curious what the team will drop to after this season and if there's no sign of hope on the way.

In news that is not remotely shocking, Matt Maiocco is reporting Jim Tomsula is scheduled to earn $3.5 million per yearas the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers. According to Maiocco, only Gus Bradley, Mike McCoy and Ron Rivera make less than Tomsula.
Surprised there are three coaches at lower salaries.

Yeah, there's only 9 levels of coaching salaries from $3.5 - $8M.

Yorks not only keep JT, they will make him coach and GM for 2016. He will single-handedly man the draft....book it.

The turk is coming for JT. If I am baalke, I would be looking for another opportunity out there. This ship is underwater and will bring him down as well. I don't believe JT was in Baalke's plans. Why stay if you're baalke at this point. You have to hope JT becomes a competent coach, somebody who baalke didn't want to begin with?

I could be wrong, but I really believe the York parents make the money and coaching decisons. Baalke just plays the hand that he's delt. I'm not trying to defend him, thats just how I see it.

I agree with you. But Baalke's name is his own brand. If he isn't careful, he will seem horribly incompetent if he continues to ride a sinking ship.

Tomsula will be kept for the following reasons
1. The money he would be owed if they fire him
2. Management would have to admit they made a mistake if they fire him
3.one of the reason they got rid of harbaugh was because he was getting all of the credit for the wins, not the fo. They would reinforce that view if they fire jt and bring in another name coach.
4. The fo truly believes that analytics is what will win them a super bowl not the coach. It will take time to convince them otherwise.

Jed would throw Baalke under the bus in a heartbeat if it helped absolve himself of blame.
If Tomsula does get canned, this team would be better off making changes all across the front office as well but realistically its going to be hard to find someone with a high enough b******t tolerance and patience to work under Jed. I've said for awhile that Baalke may be as good as it gets until they got someone that would have virtual autonomy over the football operations side but that would require Jed taking some big steps back, and I don't see him doing that.
