Nobody gave me any 49ers merchandise for Christmas, and I'm kind of relieved.

I'll continue to watch and root for them, but no more financial support from me.

This game this sport is about wins and losses. If he wants class then he should treat all us Loyal fans to real coaching and real GMing.
That Bay Area Sports Guy has been getting a couple scoops lately and been right. I sure hope he is not right. Why you would say a coach will be around for at least the start of a season. If you have that strong of doubts then can his ass.

Man it's getting so trying to be a fan. I will always watch this team on local TV. I may skip a game here or there now though and I have already been so much more disinterested this year while watching. I didn't have much hope but the Vikings game made me think maybe we could have a killer run game and be competitive this year. Maybe not playoffs because of our division but it went to s**t so fast.

C Mon Jed. Get us the right guy(s) in here. None of us trust you to do it. Time to shatter the mold now punk

To be fair, Carlos Hyde's injury didn't help at all with that.

I'm not defending the coaching staff, which needs some major changes, but I'm saying that was part of the problem why our running game wasn't as strong this year, at least compared to that first game. That, and of course other teams planned against it.
Seems like Tomsula showed more passion as a Dline coach than a HC
This man right here is the ONLY Reason Tomsula was even in the NFL at all!!!!

Following the team for many years I never watched being angry. Even with the bad teams in the past, there was always some hope. When a team gives up winning and look like fools doing so how should fans react? Hiring someone like Tomsula, who can't put together a coherent sentence, is an insult to the fan base. The Yorks have to step up and show the fans they care. Keeping Tomsula through off season workouts, training camp, pre-season and regular season is another year down the drain.

Fans are at the whim of owners and it's always been so. Most owners want to win as badly as the fans do and the Yorks no doubt do. But sometimes an owner can't see the forest for the trees. From Jed's perspective, he hired Baalke, Paraag, Harbaugh and all the others, but only one was sand in the shoe. So he "mutually parted" with the sand and thought the rest would be similar without him.

But it's hard to evaluate who will be a great or good coach until you give him a chance. Tomsula is not a public speaker, but he talks football to players very well. His greatest limitation is an inability to draw a great staff to work for the niners. Having to accept and elevaate two of Harbaugh's lesser coaches to important roles was very disappointing. The only guy he seemed to bring to the party was Logan, who I like...but just one buddy from all those coaching years? Was it because he has been an assistant for years? Harbaugh had been a starting QB and HC for a number of years in the college game building his friendships and peers. Having a brother HC didn't hurt either.

If they have to stick with all the same coaches the team could be better but their ceiling will be limited to mediocrity. I would still like to see a truly bright offensive mind in charge of the team...but then, I've been saying that since before they hired Nolan. It can't be a Walsh type guy who had excellent experience to be a HC and an OC (that's once in a lifetime) but if they can find a guy who can use his assistants well...I'll be happy!

Logan hasn't exactly done the greatest job as QB coach....

Wrong. Ray Mac, RJF, Dorsey, Soap, Ian Williams all got paid because they were developed by a darn good DL coach. No one is disputing his ineptness as a head coach, but give credit where it's due.
Fire this Turkey already.
