According to most here I would think that tomasula is so bad that it doesn't matter who we replace him with.

Uh, where?

Who's complaining he might be let go?

But, the Niners can't insist that the new coach retain the old coach. The new coach needs to be able to hire their own staff. Look what happened last year when Gase was told he had to retain Tomsula. Not again!
do you really think i was serious?

He IS a nice guy and a very good D-line coach and we are losing that talent as a result of Jed and Baalke's ineptitude.

Could careless if he's a nice guy lol...he can't bring in a REAL coaching staff and doesn't know s**t about running a team.

Well that's just ridulous lol who the hell has ever gotten fired as a head coach and then went to a postion job on the same team?! People need to get real
This franchise needs a proven HC right about now, with someone picked to replace that presumably older coach. I'm thinking Shanahan, Holmgren, Gruden. Don't care that they are retreads, they have won in the NFL and know how to run an organization. Then you get yourself a brilliant young OC/DC mind and groom that person to take over the job eventually. But damn, we need an offensive minded coach...

Which kinda leads to my next point: we all clamor for an offensive coach, but who has Baalke drafted to inspire anyone he knows offensive playmakers??

Kyle or Mike?

Haha Mike. Kyle? That would kinda go against the whole "older and proven".

Agreed.

Baalke will draft his coaches guys like Kaepernick, James, McDonald, etc.

If the HC has a better vision and players in mind, you know Baalke will work with him to get him his guys.

I thought that it was Mike. I was just trying to be sure.

Kyle is he obvious choice, Mike would bring Kyle with him as the OC and eventual successor. It's a two-for-one package.

After Sean Peyton, this would be the next best option. Holgren would be my fallback as he'd bring credibility and would be able to assemble a top staff.

It would be fantastic to have Mike and Kyle Shanahan.

you are wrong on every count in my opinion,,,,,,, just as i was wrong in thinking jt and his coaches would be good for us, I could give two s**ts if he is a nice guy and if he is, that is in part what got him fired. to worried about being a friend to the players,, and of all the things that keep me up at night, losing him as a d line coach is not one of them. if he was so good, he would have stepped in this year and not let the d line go to hell. over rated as a good guy, over rated as a d line coach and he can not even be rated as a head coach

Guess we'll have to just agree to disagree then. You need some coaches on the team who are the players buddies, positional coaches preferably. It's not Tomsula's fault he was in over his head, it is Jed and Baalke's fault for not knowing that he would be. I said it when he was hired, all making JT the hc was gonna do was result in the 49ers being less one talented and good dline coach. JT was simply overwhelmed this season and didn't have the ability to add extra instruction anywhere. He was a fish outta water, and it was Jed and to a lesser Baalke who put him there.

Jim Tomsula willing to get a demotion as head coach of the Niners to become a full time servant to Jed York: washing his Bentley every day!
Moderators have itchy trigger fingers right now; waiting on confirmation of firing so they can move this to the NFL section.
