I don't have this kind of negativity about it. I assume Vic is totally fine with it. If we hire, like, Shanahan as OC (Mike) then that really is perfect. Tomsula handles all the PR bs, and Shanny gets back to calling plays that win super bowls.
I am ok. We'll see.

Everytime the Niners scored the players all reacted like it was hilarious that Tomsula was coach, and that we were still winning. It was like a joke.
You know in baseball when a RP has to take an at bat, or when a hitter has to pitch? The whole team is watching from the railing, laughing and yelling jokes? Thats what it felt like.
Now hes the actual HC. Freaking great hire York. What a terrible choice. This team is going downhill so fast.
Disagree. I was at that game. Watching from my 50-yard line CandleMistake Park seats. I saw a team that played loose, fast and mistake free football and had fun doing it.

It's amazing how far the organization has fallen... Two years ago the @49ers we're top of the NFL..... now they've become a dysfunctional mess driven by Trent (AJ Smith) Baalke and the kid that inherited the team! Think about it, they've replaced a guy who went 44-11-1 over 4 years with a career position coach, whose the ultimate, cheap "yes" man. How many free agent and coaches will want to come here? Sadly, the @49ers have become the West Coast version of the Washington Redskins for no other reason that the ego of suits!
Look at the "names" being considered for OC/DC ... career losers!

Strong 6th post.
Btw, just because I can tell you don't know.
Marc Trestman is being considered for the OC coordinator position.
He returned to the NFL in 1995 as quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator with San Francisco, where he served in that capacity through 1996. The first year he was in San Francisco, the team led the NFL with 457 points scored, 644 pass attempts and 4,779 passing yards.
That was written about Trestman

After reading that... You sure you are okay? Vic is not okay with it... hes leaving and Mike Shanahan is not going to be our OC/secret head coach.

At this point for Jed & Trent and the rest of the front office, show me, don't effing tell me.
After what we had established since 2011, positive results better pan out on the field in 2015 or it's going to take a LONG TIME to get me to invest my time and energy into this franchise . . . sad to say.

If I were not a 49er fan in the 80's and 90's I would have hated them for their superiority. Now, still a fan, I hate them for their willful ineptness.
I go back to Kezar Stadium. The only thing keeping me as a fan is the colors.
Losing Fangio for this is obscene.

Eh, I think that had more to do with not having the tense atmosphere of Singletary than anything else. JT otherwise has been a focused coach on the sidelines.
Hes a gritty position coach. He screams Bludgeon!!! and smacks players' pads.
Hes going to be completely lost and overwhelmed in this position. York and Baalke hired him because hes cheap and familiar.

Agreed. I may not be able to resist watching the games, but the York's wont be getting a penny from me until were title contenders again.

want to explain why this is a good move? or why you feel we can win a SuperBowl every year like Jed expects with Tomsula as a head coach?
