If the press conferences were the best indicator of future success, then Mike Nolan should be a 3x SB winner by now. He owned the press conferences. I don't miss that style either, and I've since learned not to put much stock in meaningless things like press conferences..

Eh.. Nolan can speak well.. I remember him saying a lot of pointless stats like " we limited them in the 2nd half to 92 total yards of offense after getting down 24-3"

Harbaugh's press conferences were a pile of crap.

In his press conferences, Harbaugh was pompous and arrogant.

He treated us like mushrooms----kept us in the dark and fed us manure.

Harbaugh hardly ever finished a sentence, and was a master of the incomprehensible cliché.

Self deprecating humor----I would take that as a good sign.

His comment about "pick up your shoes and pack your bag" could easily be the team motto for his year.

My interpretation:"

On and off the field do what you know you should be doing. Eliminate the stupid penalties and stay the effing hell out of trouble.

i hope we get chud and jim schwartz if we're going 4-3

i think that'll go a long way to easing some of the pain that we just let fangio walk

I don't think Tarver was brought here to be the DC. JT and Tarver are homies and he wanted him here. I think he is going to coach the LBs. I guess we'll find out soon.

Agreed. Better yet a Gase(if still available havent seen the news cycle)/Schwartz combo would put to rest allot of doubt while its all hypothetical. I don't mind the Tomsula hire, I just hate the way York went about it. I still think a Baalke/JT combo can be successful as player talent is still the biggest part of the game and the roster is in good shape. But it looks like a meddlesome owner with two guys (Baalke/JT) trying to make the best of the opportunity regardless of how it arose.

Every time I listen to his answer what he knows about X's and O's and his philosophy I want to throw up . He doesn't even know what he is going to coach. What a load of crap Jed York laid on us.
