lol everybody turns down the niners these days.
LOL...I guess the prospect of working with Paul Worrilow and Joplu Bartu sounded better than Bowman or Willis. From a teaching standpoint though, their ILB have a hell of a lot more to learn than ours.

Agreed! What could Ulbrich possibly teach Bowman, Willis, or even Borland?

Wherever he teaches he will be using our film

That's a pretty funny, but maybe accurate take!

"Bow...Patrick...I want to show you how to get the most out of limited ability..."

Let's be serious, the ILB coach was the staff position I was perhaps least concerned about.

That has to be one of the cushiest gigs in the NFL. "Okay, Pat, Bo, Chris, just keep doing what you guys have been doing, Moody, watch what they're doing. I'm going out for beer and taco's, afterwards I'm taking a Jimmy Raye style nap, see you in about four hours."

How to get completely trucked by a RB. Ulbrich used to get dragged like a rag doll.

agree,, that is why everyone needs time to see how it work out,,, i am glad its all over and look forward to a fresh start for the players and franchise

And if things do implode, will you still believe that the ownership holds no fault and that it was all on that rabble rousing former HC?

i will step up and say i was wrong just like i have done many times before,, i will assume you will take no pleasure in being right if the whole thing goes south. you are not like one of those people who really are around who act like they want the team to fail in order to justify their hatred for the front office for getting rid of what they think is a beloved figure

Exactly who are these people you speak of? I doubt anyone who takes the time to come to this forum is rooting for failure.

"You have to feel for Jim Tomsula right now. He takes over for a man who led the 49ers to three straight NFC Championship Games, and is expected by management to lead this team back over the 8-8 hump. San Francisco might be lucky to go 8-8 this year. Aging wide receivers (ifMichael Crabtree is gone), possibly no Frank Gore, possibly no Vernon Davis, no Justin Smith, and the hope that NaVorro Bowman can return to 2013 form. Oh, and then there's the unreliable Aldon Smith. Step into a slim win column, Jim."

Pretty negative stuff from Elliott Harrison

These rumors seem to be a product of an absence of information. They may just be filler so theirs some "understanding" of events given the FO did not volunteer a dang thing.

However, my personal assumption (backed by unsubstantiated rumor "SIRUS NFL") is Gase was the guy until he royally cocked it up in his interview. Tomsula was plan B (along with the hand picked staff). Gase blew it and the 49ers went with their pre-installed backup plan with built in vetting options.

The reason I believe this is Baalke strikes me as a guy that has contingency plans for contingency plans, and he communicates them on a "need to know" basis.

But this is conjecture... the complete definition of conjecture!

contingency plans?? you really think so after all the coaches the 49ers just hired

That looks like a NT negative fan posted that. Never mind that even if we DO lose those players, we already have others ready to rock. And oh-yeah, there's that draft, FA and 18 players coming back from I.R. too. Geesh.

that's pretty negative from Elliot.

Gore will most likely be back.

VD? fine we shall see whats up with him.

Justin is a maybe.

Aldon? We still have Brooks, Lynch, Lemonier. And will prob bring back Skuta.

Crabtree is a bum anyway.

Even without Bowman 100%. We have Willis, and Borland

Right, but wasn't he the same guy who predicted 7-9 for the 2013 season?

lol

49ers have no money

Gore is gone
they could have saved millions if they waited to release RayMc
They can save millions if they release Brooks so he's prob gone
VD hasn't been the same since Mangina became his coach

Even without Bowman 100%. We have Willis, and Borland
That's what we said last season
