Like many of us, I have a pretty bad feeling about this. I'm choosing to be optimistic in the face of what seems to be a lot of questionable decisions on the coaching and considering what I heard some of the other options were that were available.regardless of how this all turns out, I continue to be furious with Jed York and want to know when we will begin to see some of this accountability he spoke so much of after firing Harbaugh. I don't really see any of the membersof the local press taking him to task and pressing him to respond to the choices that he just made, and that's all I really expect him to do at this point but instead it seems like he's sticking his head in the ground and trying to hide and that is not accountability. I have no idea what it would taketo shame him into actually responding to the concerns of the Fanbase that shovels and millions and millions of dollars and it was pocket every year but if anyone has suggestions I will be the first to follow you into the fray – let's make him accountable… Let's make him explain to us what he is actually thinking here

I think they've assembled a decent coaching staff considering everything. Only time will tell if it works out, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

You can't make Jed do anything and neither can I. The only thing we can do is Tweet him and choose to pay or not pay. Support or not support. That is all. I think some here have said that Jed has said too much and that he needs to just shut up and write checks. Then you have others saying that he needs to spoil the beans and let loose everything that went on and explain himself to us. I personally think that he has said enough and then too much. Everytime he speaks the fan in him comes out and then it is twisted to say that Jed is going to tell the OC how to run the offense when we all know that Jed knows as much about Xs and 0s as the rest of us. He said he wanted teachers and he wanted to amass a coaching staff that grooms players and fellow coaches so that we can have a promote from within organization. He says anything about why Jim is gone in further detail then he will lack class. No need to get ugly now. Let Jim Harbaugh and what he did speak for itself and now we have to hope that we have what we need here going forward. Jed just needs to continue to speak with optimism and learn not to Tweet out his disappointment in our performances going forward. Also he needs to learn to plug the leaks within his organization when there are disputes in house

you know...as frustrated as i was with the offense.....I agree with you.

Are you two serious? The ONE thing HaRoman could never do was adjust once the offense was figured out LAST year. How in the world would you expect us to get better going forward when clearly, this year, in the "prove it year," he clearly had no answers and looked perplexed on the sidelines (dumbfounded); and that was with reports that HE was calling many of the offensive plays. After 9 months to prepare, you saw the game plan against Seattle. How would ANY fan feel comfortable going forward with HaRoman and develop this kind of unrealistic expectation? I don't get it...

fans are delusional if they think you can make multiple super bowls when you can not score more than four points a game per game in the second half of games, when you can not figure out a nfl playclock after four years, when you are unable or unwilling to adjust things at half time. and spare me about,, " but but all we needed to do was to tweak things".. to many people are just so taken in with all of his cute little sayings and whose got it better blather they can not see the forest through the trees. i would wager more than one vet got to a point where they were rolling their eyes. people like randy moss and eric davis are saying Jh and his college crap wore thin. of course since those views run contrary to the popular notion we will suck next year, the coaches suck blah blah,,,, those guys I am sure are bums. after watching this offensive offense and all of the games we lost to inferior teams how can anyone set there with a straight face and predict had they stayed we would be in the super bowl multiple times is beyond me, but thats not my concern. i am glad they are gone, i am glad we have new faces, new energy, no more clouds over our team and a fresh start for all with coaches who can be good teachers and have nfl experience and not this college panny anny s**t that wears thin after about four years

Yep. +1. This team had belief under Harbaugh. Bonafide winners. The D was great every year under Fangio. Right now we're left wondering whether the offense AND defense can perform at a level required to win SBs.

we don't play on sundays. the people that do love Tomsula. so who's feelings are more important?

Plus, I'm ready to believe that the belief was starting to fall apart a little under Harbaugh. There was a lot of talk about how players were getting a little tired of Harbaugh's schtick and how his main deal was making people uncomfortable. I discounted all of that early on mainly because I really liked Harbaugh, but in retrospect, I'm thinking it probably had a kernel of truth to it. As Ira Miller said the other day in an interview on KNBR, he's a great coach, but we all know he's kind of a jerk. Miller said Harbaugh was a jerk as a player and was still a jerk in his opinion, but a real good coach.

LOL. Even if you disapprove of some hires or have complete hatred for every coach across the board, just take a look around the league and it's pretty clear to see there's no way in heck we're anywhere near "the worst".

their idea of improving the offense is to have johnson setting on the bench while miss lloyd was on the field as we lined up miller and staley at the top of your tv screen. my god, we have not had that type of out of the box thinking since we decided it would be a nice idea to throw a toss to ginn while we were at our own one yard line

............

Wait....so 4 guys left from Harbaugh regime (Tomsula, Mangini, Chryst, Rathman) and the addition of Pendergast, Tarver, Sparano, and Lewis: all ex-coordinators moving back to being position coaches = "Worst Coaching Staff in the League".

Right.

You can say that the guys at the top (HC, OC, DC) could be called into question, but that's a damn good position coach staff with a ton of experience to help the Coordinators. There are also two ex-Head Coaches on staff.

I know it's not popular to not think the world is ending around here and I wish Harbaugh had stayed, but it ain't nearly as bad as people say it is. Not by a long shot.

The only hire that I'm really not sure about is Chryst...but we'll see what happens. Harbaugh really liked him and the Niners liked him enough to prevent him from interviewing elsewhere.
