I always start out positive and then go from there. I was ok with noln (Not Erickson, just old used goods), BM, and JH....until they all went off the rails. At that point I made my dissatisfaction known, but always give the new guys benefit of the doubt.
One question. How in the world can someone be negative on this team when we just unloaded a HC and OC who were worthless on O, and in my mind, early on last yr, harbaw lost his team in the locker room. QB whisperer? Hah!. Guy set kap back a full season. OC same. So new blood on O and at OC and HC can do nothing but improve our team. As for coaching our D, that is fine, but the worst thing that can happen to our new D coaches is to learn something from our all pro D guys. I thnk D will be fine, and no way our O is going to approach being as bad a HaRo was the last 18 most. not just last yr but going back to 2013, midseason. Recognizing they knew no O they were damn lucky to have made it to end of 2014. so good move by jed, and right now, anything or anybody looks better than harbaw.
Also, of all our coaches, the only one I ever saw coaching guys on the sideline was....right, Tomsula.
By virtue of subtraction (HaRo)we are better this yr. The addition of JT et al is just a bonus. And as far as fangio goes, good move by jed. He had trouble making it on a college team. HOw I wished he would have blitzed a LOT more last yr. Well, this yr, sit back and watch.

One of my favorite quotes ....
Pendergast was the coordinator in Arizona from 2004 to 2008, when he was fired shortly after the Cardinals lost in the Super Bowl. He moved to Kansas City for a season, but lost his job when coach Todd Haley was canned and has since coached at the University of California and USC. Pendergast has never coached with the Redskins, but did work with former defensive coordinator Jim Haslett on defending Chip Kelly last summer.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/19/clancy-pendergast-interviewed-for-defensive-coordinator-job-in-washington/
And he's in charge of the LBs? Yeah you think he's going to have his players fired up to play the Cards? I do. Just shows the level of experience we have as coaches on this team.
Vic Fangio vs Eric Mangini - Edge = Fangio
Jim Levitt vs. Clancy Pendergast = Edge = Pendergast
Ed Donatell vs. Tim Lewis = Edge = Donatell
Jim Tomsula vs. Scott Brown = wash
Jim Levitt vs. Jason Tarver = Edge = Tarver
I'd say the past is slightly better, but we'll see.

Would have liked to see Norton in SF
San Francisco 49ers @49ers 1m1 minute ago
#49ers alum Ken Norton Jr. moves from @Seahawks to @RAIDERS.

Norton has no loyalty at all. He coached at USC, against UCLA where he went to school. He left USC to coach at Seattle, against his old team the Niners.

Wait....so 4 guys left from Harbaugh regime (Tomsula, Mangini, Chryst, Rathman) and the addition of Pendergast, Tarver, Sparano, and Lewis: all ex-coordinators moving back to being position coaches = "Worst Coaching Staff in the League".
Right.
You can say that the guys at the top (HC, OC, DC) could be called into question, but that's a damn good position coach staff with a ton of experience to help the Coordinators. There are also two ex-Head Coaches on staff.
I know it's not popular to not think the world is ending around here and I wish Harbaugh had stayed, but it ain't nearly as bad as people say it is. Not by a long shot.
The only hire that I'm really not sure about is Chryst...but we'll see what happens. Harbaugh really liked him and the Niners liked him enough to prevent him from interviewing elsewhere.
I love you maaan.. It's going to be fun to get in all the debbie downer fans face later this year..! La Bamba an all good fer now..

At least Norton is gone from Seattle; he did a great job with their LB's.
So what's everyone's favorite hire for coaches? I think mine is Tony Sparano for TE coach but I just wish it would have been OL coach instead. Wish we could have got Fewell but Tim Lewis is good too. Overall the staff turned out much better than I thought it would. We got a lot of vet talent and former HC's but still some young guys to learn from them. Since Tomsula is inexperienced at HC he could use all the help he can get. His motivational tools and familiarity with these players combined with the amount of experience on the staff with this level of talent says we should be perennial playoff contenders. I just don't know if we are super bowl contenders anymore. Edit: And I agree with Marvin you can question HC, OC and DC but the positional coaches are a pretty solid, deep group. No way we are the worst coaching staff top to bottom in the league.

I'm really surprise he left or that they didn't try to retain him
