This... very well respected in LSU circles, and sorry to see him go!

But most people have never heard of Henry....so therefore he sucks. Because ..you know...WR coaches are usually household names.

The 49ers hired former LSU wide receivers coach Adam Henry, the LSU sports information department announced on Sunday.
Henry and Ronald Curry are expected to coach the 49ers' wide receivers. Henry spent five seasons with the Raiders coaching staff, including one of the season while Curry was finishing his seven-year NFL playing career.
Henry was the Raiders offensive quality control coach in 2007 and '08 before serving three seasons as the team's tight ends coach.
In his first season as the LSU wide receivers coach, Henry coached Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry.
Henry was a wide receiver at McNeese State, where he earned All-Southland Conference honors in 1993. He finished his collegiate career with 93 receptions for 1,690 yards and 16 touchdowns, all of which remain top 10 marks in school history. He spent the 1995 season on the practice squad of the New Orleans Saints.

Terrific! This says SOOOO much about how the FO feels about the lack of development/coaching/teaching out of this position. Get ready Johnson, Patton and Ellington. You're about to play a real role here and develop!

Big money is rarely spent on position coaches. It's the size of the contract given to the HC and coordinators - along with reports that Jed was unhappy with the pay of the previous staff - that led to that particular criticism.
