I really wanna see if they can adjust during halftime and in game if things aren't workingOriginally posted by Bali-Niner:Originally posted by SofaKing:Originally posted by Bali-Niner:You know I think the OC is going to be a 2 headed one; Chyrst/Logan for the most part and I have a feeling they will work together to get the game plan together and decide on the "theme/scenario" of calls the OC will call depending on the agreement of the 2 during the week of game planning. JT just said with the coaching announcement; They want to get the O to the LOS ASAP, all the time. That alone is great news, and no reason it can't be accomplished if there is prior agreement on the scheme for the game. NINERS!!Originally posted by SofaKing:Originally posted by Bali-Niner:Really, this staff looks pretty good when you look at the experience and past positions they have worked in! I'll take a "wait & see" on them and leave the badmouthing to others, for now; GO NINERS!!!
Yup. Experience is definitely not a problem with this group. This staff has coached a lot of football, and have been pretty successfully too.
None of the individual names have really set the world on fire, but as a whole it very well could be a quality staff. I don't buy the media's portrayal that these guys are bad coaches. They are good coaches.
Biggest question mark for me is Chryst as the OC. We're keeping the same scheme/terminology, but hopefully he's able to improve the situational play-calling.
Yup, it's been reported Logan will have input in the gameplans, specifically the passing game. Definitely looking forward to the 49ers playing with increased tempo this year.
Won't that be something to see, incresed tempo! Kap really looks to play better at a quick tempo, he just takes a 3 step stands tall, and fires off those short passes many say he can't pass. I don't get someone's eyes are broken. Then JH and cast change the scheme and screw what was successful, into failure.
I'm hoping this year will be a breath of fresh air in that there is continuance when a scheme is working and an air of offensive aggression at all times..

Why not, these guys wont be nearly so stubborn, or unimaginative; I'm thinking, after all, I think all the coaches on Offense know why they are here, and the fact they must produce especially at certain things, adjustments being one of the biggest.

At first I think we were all up in arms over the new coaching search. And for good reason. It didn't seem like we would assemble a quality coaching staff. Every coach that we wanted seemed to get away for one reason or another.
Now that we have our entire staff in place it doesn't look as grim as we first thought. Im actually excited to see what Geep and Log can do with Kaepernick. There's no way possible that the offense Could be any worse than what we've seen with Roman running it.
On defense im cautiously optimistic. Vic was alright, not great. We've had the most talented players every since he's been here. And all of his off coverage on 3rd and short which let QBs complete Easy passes for first downs drove me crazy. Plus it'll be nice to see some more blitzs.
So how do you guys feel now that the staff is complete?

Um... Actually it could easily be worse.

your assumption is baseless, factless and hopeless in my opinion but feel free to hide under the bed till the season is over because you are afraid we could do worse than scoring four points a game in the second half of games
.

Truth and don't discount Foerster. He'll design the running game that should be very significant for both Hyde and Hunter.

Yeah, those were my two of my criticisms of Fangio as well:
1) Off coverage schemes on 3rd and shorts (simple pitch and catch)
2) Brings a blitz and then plays off coverage giving the QB the easy safe out/completion
3) Never playing jam-press at the LOS (see INT in the Superbowl with Browner or us vs. the Broncos vs. Seattle in the Superbowl = disrupt the timing)
4) Not willing to acquire a 2-gap wide-bodied plugger at NT to help against power backs, short yardage and goal line situations
Offense? 25th people. Probability ALONE says we do better than 25th in points and CK and others/defense won't have to pull out so many late game "will to win" victories. I'm willing to bet we average more than 4 points in the second half of games. I'm willing to bet 1/2 of CK's TD's will not be d/t ad lib plays and that more of these will be b/c of scheme/design and coaching.

When I first saw the headline on the front page, I thought it said "49ers release Tomsula's assistant coaches" instead of 49ers release list of Tomsula's assistant coaches.

LOL. Yup, time to start over again!
