LOL. Yup, time to start over again!

How many wins will it take for JT to stick around for more than one season?

What happens if he goes 7-9 or worse?

It'll suck ass and we'll want to form a lynch mob to turn Jed York into dead dork.

According to the head dork so its super bowl or bust. If we don't even make the playoffs York is going to look even dumber.

Niners new coaching staff will be measured against predecessors

NFL Network analyst and former 49ers cornerback Eric Davis, 47, said players eventually sniff out coaches who are out of their depth. They did so with Singletary and will do the same if Tomsula doesn't have the skills to be a successful head coach, he said.

"You're dealing with professionals," Davis said. "Not kids. Not high-school kids. Not college kids. They actually understand their job. They study just as much as the coaches and they understand when you're setting them up for failure. That's, ultimately, why Mike Singletary failed. The guys reached a point where the motivational speeches didn't work. They were like 'Teach me.'"

One way or another, I think the players will figure this one out quickly - after all, the players already know JT.

How many times are going to see this posted in this thread? This must be the 10th time, then after that it's diatribe city for at least 4 pages.

Waste of damn time and positive vib towards the new staff IMO..
The owner of the team will first and always think about making money. It's a business, and end of the day he has to pay the employees and taxes, then take the profit.

The owners will say anything to get the fans to buy the tickets. No owner is going to say - we screwed up, it's a bad team, don't come watch the games.

First money, then everything else. They also know that if you win, then they will make more money. That's where the motivation to win comes from.

Holy high heaven. Let me get this in proper order for you:"It's a business, and end of the day he has to take a profit in order to pay the employees and taxes." OK, that's much better.

JT will most likely be given the same 3-4 years that Harbaugh got to win a Superbowl.

i bet the new coach is already better now at knowing how to run a nfl playclock and how to use a little red flag than the previous coach was in four years of trying

how could he be any worse than what we have had to deal with in the last four years,, no matter the qb. you can not figure out how to use a nfl playclock, you deserve to go back to college

Where did our OC and HC coach the last 4 seasons?

That's a tough bet, cool. It would be real hard for Tomsula to be worse at that. Even if you were a huge Harbaugh fan as I was, you had to admit that there was a lot of room for improvement in that area.

What? You think Tomsula was involved with getting the plays in on time?

I know this isn't the ALL-POSITIVE thread but still... we have to be better because its hard to see being worse.

How many times did Jim throw down a challenge flag and we would roll our eyes? I know he doesn't have the best view but he never got better with it. Same with playclock. It never, ever got better, only worse

I'm pretty sure we were the only team in the NFL last year to call a timeout immediately after the half... who does this s**t? Tom brady hasn't called a 3rd quarter timeout in 10 years
