So those who are critical of the staff are immature? Gotcha.

People who jump instantly to conclusions (good or bad) are often considered immature. He's not inventing the concept that a measured approach is commonly viewed as more mature than a reactive one.

Let's not try to start arguments. He didn't actually say that anyway. He said mature posters are keeping an open mind and hoping for the best. Don't know if I have a problem with that.

And the year before, and the year before...and maybe the year before Harbaugh arrived too.

Yep. And that 5-11 team in 2010 shows what poor coaching can deliver, regardless of talent. Conversely, Harbaugh and co. taking the team to an NFCC game in 2011 (despuite a strike shortened offseason) shows just how valuable good coaching is.
Before people jump all over me, I'm not saying JT and his staff are poor coaches - only time will make that clear one way or another.

Oh no, I agree! One MAJOR aspect of coaching is recognizing and developing talent. Remember, all the moves we made that year? Chuck'd Lawson for Brooks and quite a few other moves, cuts, promotions, etc. JT and staff are inheriting probably, the best and deepest roster in the NFL top-to-bottom. Logan already noted that and alluded to his #1 responsibility of "not screwing it up" and that all they need to do (as a staff) is "take the corvette down to the car wash and then let it go!" Paraphrased of course.

Not starting anything. I'm not the one who back handed insulted those who are critical of our 3rd, 4th, 5th choice coaching staff. I am one of those who is quite pessimistic in regard to our current staff and found it offensive. ...

Originally posted by WINiner:i never said that. people who are emotional and upset at losing a popular coach are very critical and that is fine, very understandable, mature people have a open mind and are willing to give the staff a chance before we throw them, the team and the franchise as we know it under the bus. in my opinion

The secondary was completely overhauled by TB that year 2011. Completely! Aldon was added. The defense was upgraded significantly from 2010. Harbaugh inherited an even more talented team defensively. Harbaugh also started winning running the ball in a passing league. Caught the NFL by surprise. Teams then thought you had to have a twenty million dollar QB to win and pass 40 times a game. Jim changed that. He was the only HC that could have won 13 games that year with us. PIT and BAL were even trying to throw. GB was the model then. Problem is the BFL caught up to us and we had no answer
