Sort of sums it up. Over-simplifies it some, but the general point stands. The offense, his primary responsibility, got worse.

It will be interesting to see if the offense improves. Kap's quote about Chryst being receptive to player input MAY be suggestive to Harbaugh's stubbornness. At any rate, we have new coaching leadership for our favorite team. They have my complete support. When the games start, they will have most of yours, too.

Great perspective.

LOL! Read House of Cards or some of the other books about Fortune 500 companies that went through management changes. American Express might have a record on the number of books written about their changes.

Really good book dtg_9er!!!

Another good book is the one on Enron by McClain. You read these books and wonder...how much of this stuff goes on and is never brought to light?

Well the good news is that he's been here for 2+ years now and got promoted. So that's a good sign. With the amount of drama this FO had to deal with, the last thing they want to do is elevate another Drama-King to a position of authority.

Didn't Mangini actually get fired as TE coach before getting the DC gig? Strange way to go about things.

Mangini? I don't believe so. I think he interviewed with Oakland for the DC position. Chose to stay with us for the same role.
he got a couple interviews i think he was interviewed to be the oakland head coach.

Thanks. I couldn't remember if it was for DC or HC with Oakland!
I wonder how much input our coaches have with their overlords for the upcoming draft.

And with the 15th overall pick, Jed Dork selects Rogaine.

Don't know but I like the fact that both of our WR coaches are helping run the WR drills at the combine.

John Morton is there too. He's helping run the concession stands.

That would be one sloppy concession stand.

terrible coach, just terrible
Jason Cole: 49ers only brought 5 coaches to the combine. Tomsula, Both coordinators and the WR coach and DB coach. Almost unheard of among NFL teams that you would only bring this number of coaches to the NFL combine.

So they left most position coaches back at the ranch to watch video of the players and determine what they can do...sounds very reasonable to me. They are there with Logan, who is a natural leader and experienced enough to take charge...or Sparano, or...a bunch of older position guys who might not want to go to Indy this time of year. Smart guys!

Edit: Also might indicate what drills are most helpful in evaluating players and/or positions. Tomsula can judge front seven, Chryst can judge QBs and WRs, Mangini can judge DBs...about the only position left out is OL.
