nc,, there are some people who can not be reasoned with. you also know had the team bussed all of the coaches to the combine,, there would be people b***hing they should be a home watching film on our players still on the team.

So they left most position coaches back at the ranch to watch video of the players and determine what they can do...sounds very reasonable to me. They are there with Logan, who is a natural leader and experienced enough to take charge...or Sparano, or...a bunch of older position guys who might not want to go to Indy this time of year. Smart guys!

Edit: Also might indicate what drills are most helpful in evaluating players and/or positions. Tomsula can judge front seven, Chryst can judge QBs and WRs, Mangini can judge DBs...about the only position left out is OL.

Hell, I'd be happy with just Baalke there...maybe Tom Gamble as well. But I love that the Tomsula/Geep/Mangini and Tim Lewis/Adam Henry are there too. Tim and Adam can focus on the CB's and WR's (hello!) and Trent/Tom/Tomsula/Geep/Mangini can look to the rest and start looking for system-fit players. Obviously, Tomsula can help review the DL/LBers, etc. On offense, Logan not being there may be a sign QB is NOT high on our priority list at the moment (expect a later developmental pick). All are already familiar with our current personnel and Tim/Adam can focus on the next group of personnel coming in.

The rest can hang back and review the tape of their personnel and continue to put the strengths/weaknesses together: Jason Tarver, Clancy Pendegrast, Ejiro Evero, Scott Brown and Aubrayo Franklin and then Steve Logan, Mick Lombardi, Tom Rathman, Chris Foerster, Eric Wolford, Tony Sparano, Ronald Curry and D.J. Logan as well as Thomas McGaughey and Richard Hightower.
