DL coach or assistant DL coach, I would LOVE to have him here. I feel like Dan Quinn would also push for BY since he was on his staff at Florida, not to mention coaching him as his DL coach with the 49ers also.

Can you explain the support for Tarver not being sarcastic, he was the f'n raiders' DC & basically suck'd. How would going from Fangio to Tarver be a good thing. Why not keep Dontell( whatever his name is), he was a DC before, I'm pretty sure he could have picked up where Fangio left off, wtf!

Look at the talent on the Raiders, look at the talent on the 49ers, huge disparity. Fangio stunk it up quite a few times as well, he even was the reason why a head coach(Jim Mora) got fired. Fangio couldn't even get a DC gig for awhile until Harbaugh came along and brought him to Stanford with him.


Tarver is not my first choice but I won't cry about it if that's who they go with. Younger coach who is quite familiar with this organization, very bright guy, definitely more on the aggressive side, has experience in both 4-3 and 3-4 defenses.


If they build the staff up with a mix of sharp younger coaches like Tarver, I wouldn't be upset.

more importantly, Foerster was our OL coach for a couple years during the heyday of Rachal/Snyder

We are bringing back all the coaches that we can from the pre Harbaugh era.

No offense but that quote does help. Can he or is he known for being a good DC like Fangio or atleast(!) in the ballpark. That's what I wanna know. Our D has been the main reason we've been as good as we have, take that away & I bet it's like we never left the dark ages(for the most part).
