If he makes the Niner offense productive enough to get close to the top ten, he'll be a hot commodity. But, on the other hand, if he has success, that will make the OC position more attractive to more candidates.

I'm just saying, everyone is freaking out when the man hasn't gotten the chance yet lol

Jumping to conclusions before all the facts are in is great sport around here! And assuming the worst is the Web Zone standard!

You two make sense. You know that not allowed in NT.

Yes that is a double edged sword. Most on here remember the "dark Ages" of the revolving OC but they problem was the offense was unproductive so on to the next OC but it made the position very un-atractive to good up and coming coaches. If this offense just goes top 12-15 we would be on the radar for other coaches and other teams looking to hire. That is no a bad thing.
Well if we are to fix this offense we better draft and or start playing more explosive players

that is all many of us have said to fellow fans. what do we get for our trouble? we get called homers, sheep, . just let the man assemble his team, start practice , do pre season and play a couple of games before we can really have a proper and logical assessment of things.

Honestly, I don't see how trying to keep a positive outlook makes someone a sheep. And "homer" is a term that is IMO way overused. It was originally only designated for professional announcers who were supposed to be calling a game without favorites but were obviously fans of one of the teams in play.

But if keeping an open mind and trying to find any positives in the current time-frame makes me a "homer" in some peoples' eyes, so be it. I don't really care. I'm a fan. I always hope for the best. And I always try to think of ways everything could turn out great. Why not? It's the future. Nobody really knows what's going to happen. Quite a few people around here are pretending they know what's going to happen, but they don't really know.
I'm hoping we finally get a true #1 receiver in the draft this year. The T.O. Curse will finally be over (I know it was the 1,000 yard curse but you get what I'm saying).

Three things I don't see Jeepsus Chryst doing that happened already under the last staff...

1. Not gonna call 5000 formations before the center hikes the ball.

2. Calling plays that confuse our own offense more than it does the opposing defense.

3. Won't be tricking himself (out thinking himself/out smarting himself/second guessing himself) as much as (it seemed) Roman did.

That's worth (at least) three wins.

the thing is you can hope for the best but also be realistic about things. i don't see things going well for us. this seems like a f**king clown show. am i wrong? is everything in order and we actually have one of the best situations in the league? i doubt it but we'll see.

nothing wrong with saying "this looks f**king brutally bad but i'm hoping for the best!"

we really really need to retool that position.

Agree . Boldin is all the veteran leadership we need. Seeing Lloyd out there was rough. I like the guy but not at the expense of the development of youth. Ellington at 50rec next year would make me happy.

seeing stevie johnson setting on the bench while lloyd is in there makes me hate roman, the wide out coach, the head coach at the time,, whoever was in charge of that one
