yes, that was the Paraag gameplan, for cap savings last night
I feel like this is a refreshing loss that'll serve as a springboard for the next run.

REFOCUS, and stop buying into that "best in the world" hype, until after they win the SB.
I am more on the sarcastic side when we get blown out and coming to this thread to post anything that is never positive.
But today is different.
I believe that we will not make the same mistake twice against the ravens if we play them again.
I like how Purdy criticize himself RIGHT AFTER THE GAME ! For a young kid two years on the job he was more spot on than Kyle with his empathic but wrong comments on the INTs. Brock understood right away all the mistakes and poor judgments he made. This makes me think (with the quality QB he is) that he will learn his lesson and be well prepared for our SB run
I was afraid Brock would crumble under pressure in the SB. Well he did last night ! He has more experience and that will serve him well in the near future.
Now i think the biggest thing is the rams game : they will bring their A game to make a push for the playoffs so that #1 seed is far from being secured. That maybe the sunday night game !

Other silver lining : our D played OK under the circumstances having to deal with the all the TO by the offfense.
BUT this aint 2019 : it's the other way around the O will carry us to a win not the D. We better have the ball last in the SB game or have a comfortable lead with 2 mon to go.
I attended a Christmas dinner with non-football fans, there was no TV. I managed to not hear the score all night.

I fast forwarded through most of the carnage and disappointment in less than an hour when I got home.
on step closer to firing Wilks

They won't fix the turnovers with that awful play-calling.

EXACTLY.... it's sad how our HC continues to try and win playing pretty so that he gets MOST of the credits..

I think one sportswriter put it best. Either this loss will unravel the Niners season, or it will serve as a springboard for a pissed off team that will launch then straight to the Super Bowl.

We about to find out
Well that sucked. After sleeping on it I think a big reason for this loss is simply that Baltimore was more motivated to get a win. We already have the tie breaker over Philly, Dallas and Detroit whereas they still have to play Miami next week. They needed this win more than us to wrap up their 1 seed. Doesnt excuse the piss poor performance and I'm not convinced SF is the better team, but motivation is a funny thing and I do expect a much better game against them with a week of rest before a game for all the marbles should it come to that. Hats off to them though. Hopefully Kyle learned a thing or twelve.
Although I don't like watching the Niners implode like this sometimes you need a kick in the a@@ to get your focus back on track. The Niners had a game where pretty much everything just went downhill. The good part is they can get healthy and are in the playoffs so………….. this game is in the rear view and onto the last 2. I still believe they will be in the SB and I really hope they get to see the Ravens again. JMHO GO NINERS!!!!!!! That was ugly though

Agree with the bolded. I was listening to the radio and one of the hosts was saying he went to each sideline pre game and the Niner side was more relaxed, taking pics with family, etc (not in a bad way or that they weren't taking it seriously but just observing) whereas the Baltimore side was very quiet and the players just seemed super locked in. So it could very well just be the case that the Niners played the best version of the Ravens yesterday. s**t happens.

We deserve to lose if we cant beat that statline.

What was their starting field position this game? Like the 50? Lamar is a freaking joke that harbaugh covers up completely with coaching.

If shanahan can't find a way to win with a team with far better talent and a better QB then its entirely on coaching imo. He's had 7 years to futz around and figure it out. If he can't win this year with so many cards in the niners favor we should move on IMO...

He should win it though. even taking a dump on Christmas.

This, Jackson has been awful in the playoffs. He is not a very accurate passer, he doesn't throw many touchdowns at all, and we were absolutely destroying their defense in the first quarter, we had almost 150 yards and we were getting about 10 yards a clip running the ball throughout the game.

It's just a Nice Christmas present to be so lucky that two deflections and one quarterbacks arm hit results in three interceptions with the best field position I've seen in a while vs us. Not to mention 100 yards in penalties which probably will never happen again the way it happened on Christmas. Ho f**kin Ho

I hope we don't see them again. It would be an ASS BEATING in the making, and I'm not looking forward to a 5-3 SB record. If Baltimore is going to represent the AFC, I'd rather we get beat down by the Rams instead (probably gonna happen anyways)
