Dorsey, Willis, Bowman, Borland & Aldon should all be ready to go Week 1. This defense will make Mangini look good, same as they did for Fangio.

We just need to get one or two of the following Cook, Cox or Culliver.

A lot more playing time for Hyde, Carradine and Lynch is the biggest silver lining to me.

Add Ellington and Patton for me Plus a healthy NT.
Defense will STILL be solid, which will always keep us in games.

How well did that workout in 2010?

Who was our oc at the time? Our only weapons on offense were Davis and gore, our offense just f**king flat out sucked.

Odds are they need another NT. Ian Williams is an undersized overachiever. He's been hurt 2 years in a row, and odds are he will never make it through a full season at NT. Dorsey is getting old and when NFL players age, they tend to get hurt. So they either move to a 4/3 or need to acquire another NT with bulk.

Agree but it will be a really good test of this theory. Will the offense, with many of the same parts, be better? Will the defense be worse? My guess is that the defense will be more aggressive and may give up more big plays, but will have more takeaways; and the offense will have more big plays and more success. I'm not bashing the former coaches but this team will be another year older (generally), and the former offense just seemed never in sync. Just speeding up the play may help a lot.
Glad everyone here doesn't make the odds. Fans who seem to think we'll be just fine with this new "coaching" staff that call realists "doom and gloomers" would probably have us as 2/1 favorites for next year's Super Bowl. Instead, we are 30/1. Not saying they are experts, only that they earn a living with these predictions. And their glasses have no rose colored tint.

Not sure you have added anything to the discussion except negativity...but have a nice night!

I hope you're joking!!! You do realize we got rid of a bad play caller at OC and we get back Anthony Davis Kilgore a healthy Vernon. Davis and oh yeah, an in shape Boone that kicked ass the last quarter of the season. I believe he graded out as a top 2 guard.
Best silver lining to me is watching the Patriots pick apart the vaunted Seattle defense using shifty and quick receivers in the short game. We could have probably done the same thing with Johnson and Ellington, maybe the new coaches will figure that out.

This is where the rule changes helped Brady vs Manning this year as well. No way with the way they were calling the game last year SEA allows Brady to go 37 for 50 for 325. NE called a great game offensively but SEA LOB was a bit neutralized due to injury and rules emphasis this year as well

Steve Logan already has! He outlined exactly how you beat them perfectly.
