This may force the front office to finally prioritize the right side of the oline.

11 draft picks and Purdy will be on a rookie deal for another year. We should be able to make a deep run next year. Just need to upgrade our oline

Hopefully Wilks is fired. Don't know who we can pick up. Zimmer would have been a good option but he's going to Dallas.

Super Bowls are final. They dont just last one day or a week like other games. They last forever. Of course devasted for last nighr. But we still have 5 Super Bowls to enjoy. I'm going to go watch Super Bowl 19 SF/Mia.

Lol that's your silver lining. I'm got to tape over the 2023 SB with the 1984 SB and pretend we won

Older fans can always hold onto that, but there are many fans, such as myself well into their 30s or even early 40s who weren't able to experience any of those championships. All we know is getting crushed in the brutal fashion. At least 3 of the 4 Bills Super Bowl losses were blowouts.

We're still going to talk about those 5 Superbowls after I turn 60, aren't we? (I am also 33)

Real talk, at this point our 5 SB wins are about as relevant as the Browns 1950s dynasty. As far as I'm concerned, the Niners are more defined by the 3 straight SB losses with the 4 NFCCG losses mixed in there.
My silver lining is I've accepted that fact and willing to wear it. I'm no longer in denial about this franchise. I got to see the Warriors 4 ring dynasty and Giants 3 ring dynasty all in my 20s and early 30s. Some sports fans never seen a single chip in any sport.

Just re-watched the SB (as painful as it was). It's up there for me as one of the toughest losses in rooting for this team since 1977, when I was very young and first started watching football (Niners are my favorite team in all of sports - by a mile).
Re-watching this game reminded me the Niners really had this game there for the taking...even despite all that went wrong. Despite Greenlaw's injury, which was a huge turn of events as Burks and Flannigan-Fowles were big drop-offs in being forced to see more action than they should. To KC's credit, they exploited that weak area very well as the game went on - especially in the crucial moments. KC is very well-coached in all three phases.
The Niners battled hard despite their mistakes and Greenlaw's unfortunate, non-contact injury. They came back from a deficit later in the 2nd Half to take the lead when it looked like KC might not look back after scoring their only TD in regulation (which was basically gifted from the muffed punt). KC had some big momentum there, but the Niners hung tough and fought back.
The way Purdy played on one of the biggest stages in sports (the biggest in our country) was extremely encouraging. Looking forward to seeing him and the team build on it next year and beyond. Wasn't sure what to expect from him in this big game as this is just his first full season in the league. He played very good! He handled the pressure and the whole moment very well, making plays & helping put together three key drives later in the 2nd Half & OT: 1) To come from behind and re-take the lead (make the PAT, Moody!!!); 2) To go ahead in the final minute+ of regulation (but really needed to convert that 3rd Down at the two-minute mark to seize the game); and 3) To go ahead in OT (yet needed to get the TD there).
Many fans of this team have never seen a Niners SB win with the team losing their last three SB appearances. I definitely sympathize with those fans. However, keep the faith - hopefully you will (the diehards will).
Fans my age and older remember the horrid teams in the mid-'70...the consecutive 2-14 teams, the poor ownership & mismanagement, etc. Older fans than me also remember the close-but-no SB teams of the early '70s, losing three consecutive years in the playoffs to the hated Cowboys ('70-'72). Then it all changed in '81, getting that first SB victory with Walsh, Montana, Lott, and Co., and the dynasty was started.
As difficult as the loss was last Sunday (and the previous two SBs for that matter), keep the faith as this franchise is one of the top in the NFL historically (5 SBs are still 2nd most...they have the most all-time playoff wins, 38). And, they're one of the top right up to this very day.
From its football guys, Lynch & Shanahan, running things at the very top (I strongly believe in them both)...to having a Top 2 roster of playmaking talent on both sides of the ball...to having a 24-year-old QB who has a football IQ and playmaking ability beyond his years in leading this team going forward...there are a lot of reasons to be optimistic and keep the faith for next year and beyond.

Guys, look where Brock is and what he has accomplished at only 24 years of age.Astounding. We are always going to be contenders barring significant injuries.
