With all this new found cap space, do we make a run at Revis?

I would hope not. Not for what he will demand. We could use that $ on a few spots

Probably right. That's more Baalke's style. Use the money on multiple role players, rather than one.

I Always wanted him to join us... very pricey tho. Now that you mentioned it (new found cap space), is it possible that Gore is reconsidering because someone from FO reached out

I dunno. My feeling is the 49ers are still out of the running, and he's considering another team. They were far apart in contract talks.

I guess I'll have to just get use to the Baalke way (again). Hopefully, FA and the draft is good to us again. I like the kid Phillip Dorsett out of Miami

And Jarryd Hayne!

LOL

Would be nice if they all do well tho
Man we are going to have some really good draft picks the next several years. The next coaching staff and front office staff will certainly benefit from our dramatic decline. On the plus side if you get top 5 to top 10 picks for years in a row you should eventually get better again.....

I still like our chances to make this a positive year.
  • Sign Demarco Murray
  • Sign Torrey Smith
  • Sign Harry Douglas
  • Draft Trey Wayne's
You never know. Let a man dream.
the helmets are shiny
If they suck badly enough, they can get Connor Cook.
The field might be fixed.

This message board is toxic, which is why I don't plan on posting much. It's only going to get uglier you're seeing it already with fans being frustrated with what's going on. You have the optimistic fans vs negative fans at each other throats. It's funny, but a sad waste of time.

nope.49ers

to steal a line from the WWE.

Then, Now, AND Forever
We kind of look like the 2011 49ers with a slightly worse defense and special teams but probably a better passing game but worse oline and a similar run game. That team made it to the NFCCG. That team had a lot of doubters and a lot of people betting against it just like this team does. If the line can hold up and our run game can average 4-5 a pop and our defense can bend not break and st's can do their job we should be a 9-10 win team. I don't think we are going to be nearly as bad as every says. We just need to play good defense and st's, run the ball and keep to short passes not 7 step drops that kill drives and we should be alright. I think we win 9-10 games, at worst should be 7-8. Edit: And our young guys are getting a ton of playing time and our secondary with Brock, Johnson, Ward, Acker, Reaser, Reid, Tartt and McCray should be pretty good for a long time.
