After 30+ years of watching this team, I'm going to save $200 on the Sun ticket.
I'm staying positive...I want to see how this all plays out.

To put things into perspective:
  • This was one of the most penalized team in the NFL last season.
  • We had constant game management problems, delay of games, early timeouts, questionable challenges etc...
  • Our coaching staff, which was supposedly an all star offensive group, did not improve, if not regressed during the last 4 years.
  • Harbaugh is supposedly a qb whisperer, yet he couldnt bring pro bowl seasons out of smith or kap. Also our defense almost always had to carry this team due to lack of a s**tty offense.
Yes, Harbaugh is a terrific coach and he did wonders for us, but these problems plagued us from going to the promise lands. I'm not saying Tomsula and Co. are going to be better, or even match Harbaughs production, but we had to move on if we want to avoid being the bills of the 90s.

IMHO, I think JT will get the first two bullets corrected. I also don't believe we'll be worse or as pathetic on offense as we were last season... just saying

With this talent, its hard to do any worse than last season.

Keep hope alive
The play calling and scheme can't get any worse than last year. Hopefully better use of our young WRs Ellington, Patton. Better use of Vernon. Better use of Kap.

Bowman, Willis and Aldon back hopefully justin Smith ....Lynch and Tank improving, sort our corners out.

If the defense is healthy they are top three in the league and any improvement on offense we"ll win 11 games at least.

I'm personally excited to see new ideas on offense and better in game management. No doom and gloom here.
At least I got accustomed to s**tty Niner football a year early
Trying to keep things in perspective, I'm curious to see how this group of misfits end up coaching. They have all been fired before (Some more than once) and maybe they will be motivated and coach their butts off. Plus, the offense can't be worse than last year.
We hav pretty helmets
To the Draft! Who's 1st overall in 2016

This is it! I think everyone in the building knows that we will be out for blood if nothing comes of this offseason.
We can stop hearing about sabotage theories. This entire staff is coaching their best in hopes of one day being promoted. Harbaugh was labeled as a great coach so no matter what happened here, his next job was waiting. This staff will coach for their lives.

We're total unknowns, nothing is on film, Mangini is going to bring some pressure, we're getting an impact rookie in the draft, Kurt Warner is going to make a difference and...and...were a month into the offseason with no arrests.

Niners baby
Ok, I came in an looked around. Nothing to positive to report. I'm out.
Silver lining? 49ers are young and have a good amount of playoff experience.
3 Possibilities:

1) Team does great and we all realize Harbaugh and company were holding the players back. Zoners compete with each other to find past posts saying positive things about Tomsula, Jed and Trent.
2) Team is mediocre and everyone says, "Well, they have a year under their belts...things will improve." Nothing changes.
3) Team goes dumpster diving and the entire year is a disaster. We spend the year complaining and arguing which coach is the worst.

Only #2 is boring...so we have a 2/3 chance of an exciting year ahead! Yay!

well im on the board where i think tomsula will be fine. But you're right! We will be either be talking about a superbowl run or who is the top draft prospect next season.
