We have a legit shot at getting 3 day one starters within the first 2 rounds. Then we have two 3rds and a 4th which can be day one, okay maybe day two push-starters
Keep your eye on the prize. Senior Bowl practices start in 11 weeks!
Pittsburgh's 4th round pick may be mid round or later, but point made! Still...six picks in the top 120...great for trading up!
We might be winless but im walking with a chubby Hope the rookies have a good game tomorrow!
Hahahaha - I truly do not understand the pissing and moaning on this board. BRAND NEW regime...going on 8 games and people are already pissed off and whining. Just amazes me. We're going to have a TON of talent added in the offseason (FA and draft) AND probably some better coaches added. PLUS we're FINALLY going to KEEP the same scheme on both sides of the ball (probably on Defense?). Where is bad exactly?
The W/L column is all that matters at the end of the year, but a rebuild is a rebuild and the 6 year contracts given to Shanalynch is really a 5 year deal in my mind. This first year is ground zero for player assessment and groundwork. The analogy of "brick by brick" that Lynch speaks is about the best I can think of for this team. I have faith in the top dogs because of their past success in football (generally speaking). Will they adjust to these new roles (HC and GM)? I think they will, but they deserve the time to work through all the issues given to us by the past regimes and their own mistakes they will make along the way. I've found this year extremely interesting on the zone.
It's been interesting to see the two different mindsets of this fan base. I understand the emotional investment some make during game days, but some just seem to pile on the negativity no matter what happens. It's like they can't enjoy ANYTHING that doesn't go perfectly. They might want to invest their time elsewhere, but maybe they enjoy being miserable. Misery loves company, right?
As painful as this year is turning out to be, it is also a chance to see how the coaches and GM respond to adversity each week and especially during the off-season. Hang in there faithful and don't lose hope knowing this team has many more changes to go toward being respected again. I do believe that this coach/GM combo will pay off, but they'll need a couple offseasons to give their plan a chance to prove itself on the field.
