Hahahaha - I truly do not understand the pissing and moaning on this board. BRAND NEW regime...going on 8 games and people are already pissed off and whining. Just amazes me. We're going to have a TON of talent added in the offseason (FA and draft) AND probably some better coaches added. PLUS we're FINALLY going to KEEP the same scheme on both sides of the ball (probably on Defense?). Where is bad exactly?

To be fair nothing you said is fundamentally any different than what could have been said at the end of January. The frustration lies in the lack of progress. The team had top 2 draft positioning, and almost $100 million in cap space, yet as of 8 weeks into the season it's hard to pin down really tangible ways in which they've improved and built something that looks like it's trending towards becoming a legitimate contender even a few years down the road. Sure they're young, they suck, and they have cap space, but that doesn't mean they're building a contender, it just means that they're getting rid of impediments from becoming a contender, which any team can do.

We're bad, but not as bad as the record says, in my opinion. Though probably not "much" better than that. Things I can say positive about the team:
- Witherspoon needs more playing time, he seems to be getting better with more reps.
- Beathard is still learning, and I still have this feeling that we'll see more glimpses of what he can be in the second half of the season. He's made only two starts. We have to find a way to protect.
- Reid is improving at LB. But what do we do now that Ward is done for the year (again)?
- Trent Taylor is coming along at WR.
- Foster should be back soon, and hopefully Blair and Carradine are back soon also.

Beathard still needs to be more accurate on those short quick passes though.

How much solace do we take in the fact that our 3rd round rookie QB still has better numbers than the QB taken at #2 overall? haha

He's also getting consistently swallowed up by downfield blockers against the run.
