We're going to have a TON of talent added in the offseason (FA and draft) AND probably some better coaches added. PLUS we're FINALLY going to KEEP the same scheme on both sides of the ball (probably on Defense?). Where is bad exactly?

To be fair nothing you said is fundamentally any different than what could have been said at the end of January. The frustration lies in the lack of progress. The team had top 2 draft positioning, and almost $100 million in cap space, yet as of 8 weeks into the season it's hard to pin down really tangible ways in which they've improved and built something that looks like it's trending towards becoming a legitimate contender even a few years down the road. Sure they're young, they suck, and they have cap space, but that doesn't mean they're building a contender, it just means that they're getting rid of impediments from becoming a contender, which any team can do.
Getting used to the losses

Thanks Jed!

+1

Sometimes I think that this team doesn't want to win. How could you have so much draft capital and have so much cap room and still be the worst team in the league? It's nearly impossible for a team that actually wants to win.

If we are 0-8 next year I'm worried!

120 mill and a ton of picks.

No reason to win games this year.
We're bad, but not as bad as the record says, in my opinion. Though probably not "much" better than that. Things I can say positive about the team:

- Witherspoon needs more playing time, he seems to be getting better with more reps.

- Beathard is still learning, and I still have this feeling that we'll see more glimpses of what he can be in the second half of the season. He's made only two starts. We have to find a way to protect.

- Reid is improving at LB. But what do we do now that Ward is done for the year (again)?

- Trent Taylor is coming along at WR.

- Foster should be back soon, and hopefully Blair and Carradine are back soon also.
0-8. Setting records with class.

Beathard still needs to be more accurate on those short quick passes though.

Probably something you won't see improve much until after another offseason working with Kyle.

He's also getting consistently swallowed up by downfield blockers against the run.
This entire season, by design, comes down to three goals:

1. Install the full WCO and 4-3
2. Purge the veterans who will not be part of our future knowing their would be immediate consequences
3. Get as many snaps as possible for all the rookies and year 1 and 2 youth to evaluate them to see who will stick and who won't

The only thing I'm discouraged by is the injuries. It makes it hard to evaluate anyone when a QB is getting hit 20+ times a game...you can't run, can't pass, can only call screen passes, etc. Nobody grows or develops this, way and they certainly can't find consistent momentum and success.

I had hoped Hoyer wouldn't go potato and we'd get 6 wins out of this system but given the current situation, we'd be very lucky to win one game.

How much solace do we take in the fact that our 3rd round rookie QB still has better numbers than the QB taken at #2 overall? haha
