Talent wise, Rams have us. But we got the QB. And good a playcaller as mcVay is, he ain't Kyle. Put kyle and JimmyG together and you get more than just music. You get a whole damn symphony. Just those two guys. What a match made in heaven and we just so happen to be the beneficiaries. We'll see how the PS goes, but right now it just looks like no ER is our bugaboo, but even then we may try and make this a PR by committee. If that happened to work out this yr, i will go effing nuts.

I wouldn't say talent wise rams got us... Especially if you look at the whole 53. And we already have 80 mill for next year give or take.
At least Jimmy G is only out for this season, it's not like he died or something!

Also, we still got Kyle Shanahan as our head coach, which makes it virtually impossible for him to get hurt, or tear an ACL.

Not all hope is lost. Now we can focus on the draft and make sure we get the right player. It's not meant to be this year. Things happen for a reason.

I hate my f**king life. Where are my pills.....
The silver lining is that we get Nick Bosa if the stars align and we tank properly this time.

Please don't f**k this up like Myles Garrett.
The offense is making huge strides. Wish jimmy was healthy.

At least Deforest Buckner is still healthy...
We will have a really high draft pick yet again. In fact maybe higher than the normal or for sure what we were expecting.
Time to beat harder.
f**k YEAH! Too early to quit now.

Wait for the 7th loss. Then it's OK.
We finally have the running game going which will help CJ big time.

We're still a young, ascending team around the QB position. Going into next year we'll have veterans like Kittle, Breida, Goodwin, pettis in year 2. Have a chance to be really good on offense once Jimmy returns.

Thankfully the ACL happened early enough in the season that it won't affect Jimmy at all next year. He'll be ready to go on opening day with what should be another solid Fa or two and a top 10 pick.

This. The football gods are giving us a second chance to tank properly this time.

With our luck, this is exactly what is going to happen. lol

Well, if Lynch and Shanahan want to quiet the naysayers, I think they pull off a hardcore trade for #1 overall if need be to get Bosa (or at least make sure they get a real edge guy at whatever pick they get/trade up to).

I'm as patient or more patient than most, but after the disaster we've had with injuries this season, for next year I want more horses to make sure this team doesn't rise and fall with every move Jimmy takes.

James will be fine long term I'm sure, but his ACL injury yesterday was caused BECAUSE he was trying too much.

This wasn't Montana getting KO'd by the Giants.

If not every game is a threat to be down by 2-3 TDs so quick, maybe we can get an improved JG.
Let's talk pass rush:

Can we get a true blue chip in the draft plus a pretty decent 2nd edge guy in trade?

I really, really want some guys who can get after QBs. With Buck & Solly in the middle, this team can potentially be a pass rushing force overnight starting next year.

Bosa probably brings us back to 2011/2012 level, but I'm greedy and want TWO guys. The second guy can be a pure 3rd down/passing down guy, and we can still use Armstead out there on base downs.

As far as the DBs are concerned, I think we can get by with less like the Fangio days. It's not ideal, but Ramsey and Bouye are not going to be that dominant coming over to the 49ers with who we have getting after the QB.

And is there a Falcon/Charger/Jaguar assistant defensive coach that we can rob potentially? I think Saleh might be ok with more horses, but I'm not against upgrading here either.
Hoping CJ balls out to the point where we have a QB controversy heading into next season and we can flip him for some goddamn pass rush.
