We're still a young, ascending team around the QB position. Going into next year we'll have veterans like Kittle, Breida, Goodwin, pettis in year 2. Have a chance to be really good on offense once Jimmy returns.

Thankfully the ACL happened early enough in the season that it won't affect Jimmy at all next year. He'll be ready to go on opening day with what should be another solid Fa or two and a top 10 pick.

Good post.... I think the positive waves.

Cheers!
A setback is a setup for a comeback considering our deficiencies on defense especially, losing Garoppolo sucks but if we can get in the top 10 in draft position we can get that elite pass rusher we desperately need but since this draft is also loaded with pass rushers we can potentially have 2 rushers on defense which could change the defense big time. This year it was clear we lacked experience this season can provide us with experience and next year we eliminate those dumb mistakes. Perhaps we can even upgrade at DC but bottom line this could be a blessing in disguise not to mention it's year 2 of the rebuild it makes sense we're making dumb mistakes
Ok, here's another one:

Jack49er is on the hook for CJ to win us at least 4-6 games based on how good he is compared to Garoppolo.

After we go 1-15, we can be done with his troll posts.

I concur JT I think we will have 4 wins but dam probably miss out on bosa by a few picks. I would hope because of all the talk and pressure and media coverage about how there is no pass rush that kind of forces the front office to trade up to the number one spot from let's say the number 5 or 6. It's worth it. If the other team is willing to trade
Silver lining? Silver lining? You want to talk about a silver lining? ...................Breida is tied for the league lead in rushing with E. Elliott.274 yards. We have one of the best backs in the NFL. At some point ,maybe in 10 years we will have a scary scary backfield.
We need an edge, guard and maybe cb and we are good to go. I'm sure free agency and the draft will take care of 2 out of the 3 needs. Maybe we trade for Fowler? Or get him as a fa

Fixed
If C.J. plays well he'll be worth at least a 2nd round pick for us in the future, if he doesn't we'll be drafting top 10.

After this pathetic showing against KC, missing out on Mack, losing JG.........I don't see how they don't just offer up the draft capital to go get that stud DE.

One thing I learned from the HarBaalke era was that windows are short........the concept of building a team for 10 years is too old school to be realistic anymore.

That is ok if you want to be perennially 10-6, make a little noise and get knocked out of the playoffs at some point. To swing for the fences and actually win a bowl takes some balls and courage.

Baalke could have $pent like Elway no problem. We could have had a defense better than Seattle's that would have carried Kap the way they carried Wilson.......easily.

Or maybe some deep threats and other ballers on offense to get the O to open up enough....

We have the cap space, youth, etc. to go for it. Can't let the Rams have all the fun....
Breida and Foster looked like they had season ending injuries as well - but they returned to the game!
Although it sucks to lose Jimmy, we'll see through this season if Beathard is worth keeping around and has value in a trade. If not, we'll have high picks to grab potential stars with and/or package in trades back in some rounds to stockpile talent.

We'll have a crapton of cap room that I think this season has already shown we should take better advantage of. Lynch will learn from year two, and this team photo be a lot more competitive next year.

Kyle will learn a ton coaching sub par NFL QB's without a pass rush, and he'll be a better coach for it in the future. He's a young and talented coach and in the future, he'll be stronger (hopefully) in going hard on defense to protect his QB. Hopefully Saleh either gets with it on the pass rush or be exposed as a guy who needs to update his defensive philosophy or leave. Also I'm free to leave early and go fishing when we're being blown up, I'll get more things done now on game day.
If Pederson can do it with Nick Foles, why not Shanny and Beathard?!

Because Pederson actually had a defense

Yeah that's important. It is what is. Get healthy Jimmy. Get good CJ.
