I want to be positive with him now in there but just given the fact that our defense is putrid and the injuries keep mounting up I can't see us winning more than 3 games. I guess that's a positive in regards to draft position.
Not really
Huh?
If your judge of arm strength is "Can he throw 50 yards?", then sure... his arm is fine. The question should be "How long does it take for him to throw 50 yards?". That is, undoubtably, below average.
We can root for CJ without making stuff up.
Just go look at the film from this preseason. Couldn't hit Pettis wide open on a post pattern.

1) the weakness of the team has been exposed and it is the defense. No secret there.
2) you're higher than the price of gas if you'd rather take CJ over Jimmy

100%.
For the record though, gas actually is artificially cheap in the U.S., cheaper than anywhere else in the world. When you think about it, a gallon of gas (decomposed fossils dug up and imported from Saudi Arabia) costs about the same as a gallon of milk (squeezed from a cow)

Bosa, Ferrell, Burns, Sweat. Any one of them is silver lining for me

I think the unreal expectations have caught up with the rest of the zone. The difference between a Garoppolo 8-8 and a Beathard 4-12 is, apart from 4 depressing days, just the draft pick. My expectations start to peak next year and the year after. Losing Garoppolo and Sherman is disappointing but not the end of the world. they will be back!

1. I love that Breida is getting to shoulder the weight of the running game. He is stepping up and will be a better player for it.
2. C.J. still needs to develop and this will help him get into form. Having a viable backup is essential in today's game.
3. The competitive window for this team was always going to open next year.
4. As many have pointed out, we might get a better draft position.
5. We as fans can relax a little. The end of last season has driven some fans insane.

This team couldn't get out of their own way to turn the corner the last 3 games with drops, penalties, missed tackles. Losing Jimmy might be that rallying point to get them more focused on both side of the ball.
It's the turning point for the team. And this team do not lack resolve

IN the silver lining theme: THis takes the pressure off on Sundays and will force the rest of the team not to rely on JG. No expectations now takes the stress off of me on Sundays too

you hope cj can use the screen game. and you hope he has some chemistry with his former team mate in kittle. you hope the game has slowed for him as compared to last year. i actually have issues believing it but this is a positive thread

My silver lining would be for the fair weather, biased haters, band wagon fans and anyone with an agenda of discord to get fed up and leave until next year.
But that'll never happen because haters gonna hate and trolls love to stir the pot.

Legit concerns wasn't on my list...there's a difference between questioning actions and trolling. There's several things I wish I had insider information on to know why they were done or not done. But you have to admit some people have ramped up the hate since Sunday.
