We're gonna be picking hiiighhhh hiiiigghhh
McGlinchey looked outstanding yesterday. There's that. Juice continued to be a beast as a run blocker and receiver, had a nice run too.
This team has pieces. Now they have to stay healthy and lynch needs to use common sense.
We dominated the box score....yay

Though we'll lose in GB, Foster's bionic ass just might send Rodgers away for the rest of the season. I don't really want that, but he has nothing to lose and GB's oline is banged up too.

I heard Foster showed up on the post game injury report on KNBR. Didn't say what and assumed it was minor.

His pride was damaged...totally embarrassed from us losing to another awful team in at home, he feels bad for the fans

That would actually be pretty funny if Kyle listed himself on the injury report for injured pride.

Silver lining? High high draft pick in an ER heavy class and our greatest position of need. Cutting expensive dead weight like Ward, M Smith and (sadly at this point) Garcon, tons of capital to spend on impact players at other positions of need, the return of Jimmy G, and a RB duo of McKinnon/Breida, Kittle emerging as a legit weapon. Also, possibly not having to pay Buckner as much now than we would have had we already had a stud ER to force opposing QBs into the middle and inflate his sack total... all I got for now.

that was largely the talking point on sports talk radio here. "Thank GOD we're no longer winless....but the only reason we won that game is because CJ Beathard is trash, otherwise we got dominated."
The players are young and improving, the coaching staff is young and improving, and the future is bright, however bleak it may seem, and how ever much I b***h about tackling, catching, and effort, I have to keep reminding my self the arrow is pointing up!

It's all a blessing in disguise really. We can put up yardage, it's not all 3 and out.
The D is not being run over and demoralized every series.
Players are playing and we know who they are.
We compete.
And we aren't heading outside of a top 5 draft pick on account of actually winning games.

I would say there's a fair amount of regressing from some of the young guys, hard to say the coaching staff has improved.....bu on the bright side, ticket prices are tanking.

LOL Ikr

I'm not disappointed with Garcon, but yeah we can part ways with him too. I do hope we get rid of Ward, Smith and Marsh, I don't even want to see them here for depth!!! We got a lot of potential and a few youngsters doing well (who look to be real legit in the future). I hope JG can stay healthy.

So no one should really complain about seeing empty stands anymore. Very cheap prices. You can get tickets for $20-25 right now. Maybe people should go and fill those seats, instead of complaining about it all the time.

Yup. I feel the same way. I think Thomas was a bad pick and that's a terrible way to start a new regime but a lot of other licks have been good and MCGlinch looks better and better.

This next offseason will really be make or break for Lynch and co. It may take another two season to really evaluate that, but you know what I mean. I'm really wondering if we should go in a different direction defensively.

Really? It seems that a lot of the young players have regressed compared to last season. Even when JimmyG was in the lineup, I expected a lot more discipline and better execution in year 2 of Shanahan's scheme.

What we're witnessing is god awful.

Read the title of this thread, there are plenty of threads for that kind of talk!

This season could turn out to be pivotal, an injury based tank completing your roster can be an amazing tonic.

If it nets us a stud pass rusher it could lead us to the 6th.

but will that mean a increase of people going to the games. there was already a serious disconnect in my opinion between the team and the blue collar crowd hard core fans that made the stick great when they built that stadium and moved the team. that was at least when we were a decent team, although at the end of the 8 -8 season for jh. now with the bad product we have had overall since jh. does a drop in prices really matter. i feel by moving that stadium has been a negative for the team and fan base
