At least our offense can put up points even with a backup backup QB!

We want to trade down from #1 with QB needed teams ( about 3-6 of them this year) to gain multiple high picks ( this year or 2020) for WR, CB, OT, BUT STILL ABLE TO HAVE BOSA OR ED OLIVER.
BTW, when I perform prostate exam for my male patients with Dr No's GOLDEN FINGER I TOLD THEM: " It is still better than LICENSE TO KILL"
Haha 😂 nice dr no! The silver lining is we may have found a very good back up at the expense of a better draft pick.
We better get Graham as a free agent pass rusher or even Clay Matthews, so we are not desperate to get the second or third edge. It may still be a great pic because edge rusher's are great this year but this sets us back. I hope we had a great player either way

Silver lining is that artificially bad teams that hit on draft picks get better quickly.
Anyone who doesn't accept that losing your QB and RB for the season isn't a huge factor are idiots and can go complain elsewhere.
Seriously I am sick and tired of everybody saying our team sucks. So many teams have holes everywhere that will be exposed if their star quarterback goes down. Like Green Bay, New England can weather the storm but now without Garoppolo probably not. It's so completely obvious we would be six and three right now with Jimmy at worst. And right in the playoff hunt. Unbelievable sometimes. Just one injury away from six and three

Hell yeah! And I think now we have three good running backs we don't even need to draft another one if we don't have to.
I hope we really focus on for agency because you know the front office is taking a lot of heat for doing nothing at the trade deadline. They usually don't care what fans think, however they are under a lot of pressure to make moves. No more lip service, we try to make our team better all the time b******t. Just do it spend money on a free agent pass rusher guard and corner and we're good to go

As bad as we have been this season, we could just as easily have five wins.
The collapse against the Packers, the turnover fest that should have been a route of Arizona, and ifxurse the second Arizona game, they are just a bad team.
There are three wins we left on the field, or two if you want to get picky.
5-4 or 4-5 we would be "in the hunt"

IMO, we will not make the playoffs - period.
What I wish for is a top 1-2 pick in the draft to get the best RE available.

Easily 6-3 and I don't think that's even debatable. Chargers Cardinals Cardinals and Green Bay all wins with Jimmy Garoppolo, in the wild-card race with the easiest schedule left so I would say easily 10-6 with a wildcard. Just like many of us predicted, but now the narrative is the Niners suck we have holes everywhere blah blah blah well even so we are still better than most of the league and a playoff team with Jimmy Garoppolo and all the injuries

Doesn't matter who the defense was IMO. With previous coaching regimes, we would make bad defenses look average.

I still want to get one of the top edge rushers, even if we sign one in free agency. Then draft another player later. It would give us so many options for our D-line going forward. The veteran would likely be playing 1st and 2nd down (if it's Brandon Graham) with the rookie being used like Aldon Smith in year 1. Thomas could play inside more or even at left end. His athletic ability should be a bit more of an asset against the RT, though my expectations aren't high. We'd have our later pick who could also rush on 3rd down. We'd be in a position where we could bring heat all game.

1. When fully healthy, we may have 3 good running backs. Mostert has already shown to be a capable backup and he's the third RB. Breida can put up some nice numbers that are starter worthy. If McKinnon is only his equal while adding a passing game presence, we are in great shape at RB for the next two seasons.
2. Richie James is coming on strong.
3. AA may actually get a contract elsewhere. Too bad we won't get any draft pick compensation. We would've only gotten a 7th, but still. I expect our FA signings to cancel out any compensatory picks though.
4. Doubters are finally seeing why MM was drafted.

If we don't trade AA they may decide to keep him and hope to get a compensatory pick when he leaves in 2020.

I agree. You can't have too many good players. Just getting one edge rusher is not enough. He could end up a bust or get injured. We need depth everywhere except running back and quarterback.
