Are all US sports fans so Jekyll and Hyde after about as narrow a loss as you can get. I'm stunned at the lack of positivity in other threads. We are having a fantastic season, probably better than most of us imagined it would go and we lost after playing perhaps our worst game in the last second of overtime. get real people. We are good. We will learn from this. Cardinals are in for a world of pain next Sunday
Heads up lads and lassies. Losses are what build character and this team has bucket loads.
I don't think it's the loss so much as it's the loss + injuries. I know I'd feel far less concerned about the loss if we didn't get so banged up, and I've been one of the more positive/ even keeled people here since last night.
It's the loss + losing Sanders, Blair and Jones that compounds things.

It's because it was against the Seahawks. We're tired of losing to them.
If it was against any other team the fans wouldn't be as upset

All teams have injuries by this stage of the season. We will overcome these. I'm telling you we are a play-off team this season.

I'm not sure. the amount of cry babying I've witnessed all season even during the 8-0 start is shocking.
Our fans are soft. Need to man and woman up and meet adversity head on!

Positives.
Greenlaw played pretty well and made what should have been a game winning play.
The D played well overall.
Deebo had his best game and show some real RAC ability

How about the silver lining then? Well, if we are for real, and I think we are, we use this loss to build up steam for a playoff run. Also, in a way we had no business being even in OT, what with 2 turnovers on our goal line saving us, and the Seahawks D dropping about a quadrillion interceptions on the final drive of regulation. They played about the perfect game for them, we played badly on one side of the ball (the D though was magnificent), decimated by the aforementioned injuries... and we still had a chance to win down the stretch.
I remember an interview with Michael Jordan after his first NBA title saying that the first time he knew the Bulls were winning was after they dropped Game 1 at home: I paraphrase, but he pretty much said what I just wrote above: "they played their asses off, we played terribly, and we still has a chance down the stretch". Normally people would have said that they dropped one at home. He felt that the only way they could lose was by everything aligning against them- and how often does this happen? Indeed, they won the next 4 straight.
All this doesn't change that this is a horrible morning for me, short of sleep and unable to concentrate on my work. My wife was sympathetically looking at me in the morning as if someone had died, although she still thinks it's ludicrous to get worked up about something that happened 3000 miles away in the middle of the night (for us).
That michael jordan part made me feel better about this loss.
To be fair, Jordan may not have felt that way if Pippen and Grant got injured and were out for the next few games of the series.
I think youre onto something my friend lol

This. On top of that...
We should have won.
We are the better team.
We shot ourselves in the foot constantly and made the Seahawks look much better than they are.
We have severe health issues in general leading to deficiencies across the board.
It all adds up to some major salt.
I am a major contributor of said salt and I have no problem admitting it.

Still #1 seed.
Before the year if anyone offered us 8-1 with a heartbreaking OT loss vs. Seattle, we'd all take it.

unlike previous years, we can get to Wilson (and often). Hoping we get fully healthy for the rematch and if we do no 12th man garbage is gonna stop us from winning on their field.

I'd rather have won one and lost one to Seattle if we face them in the playoff. Something hard about beating a team for the 3rd time...
