He brought this on himself by criticizing the Patriots for taking a minimal advantage when he's done it too. Neither deflategate or stickumgate is that big of a deal. Rice doesn't need stickum to catch a ball and Brady doesn't need a deflated football to throw it. They take small advantages because they're control freaks and it helps them to zone in more.
It's not on the level of video taping the other teams signs and practices which is the reason New England got pounded so hard. They have a reputation of cheating so any time they got caught doing anything it's going to be a huge deal.

This is stickum:
Rice was speaking about a spray. They called everything stickum back then. Yes, it was also likely illegal or at least in a gray area, but the league wasn't enforcing it. They were trying to stop the above.
Btw, using sugar, which does the exact same thing as the spray is completely legal in the NFL.

The autistic side of me views this with complete horror.

Anyone notice Maiocco hasn't said anything about this and he's usually sucking on Florio's taint and trading information.

You are using morality as the outline for discussion. I'm not. I'm saying he cheated. I'm saying NE cheated. They punished NO they need to punish NE if they are found cheating. No buddy deals!

No sense in arguing with anyone about Rice. All you really have to say is "scoreboard!" Whine all they want - the records are still Rice's.

What NO did was no big deal to me. They got Greg what's his name the DC on tape saying awful things to his players and what else? Did they tie any bounty money exchanged for payout of injuring players? Where is that evidence? Otherwise we have discussions of bounty and tough talk of injuring players but all games are recorded so there should be video evidence where the infraction took place. Yet they hammered NO. Now we have an instance where a Goodell favorite? has been CAUGHT with 11 of 12 footballs deflated. Did NE do it? Did they get caught? If so now I want the same punishment anyone else would get. Case in point NO! Had Rice been caught I wanted the hammer brought down on him. What I want is fair discipline rendered no matter the perpetrator. Everyone cheats in some way but when caught I want discipline!

We would have to have a fair and unbiased league, we don't.
