Believing that, I also believe the term "stickum" became the adopted term for any of this stuff like Xerox means a copy or Coke means cola. I can't believe someone on television would be so loose with these details and timing. So the headlines all jump to linking deflated footballs to stickum when they are miles apart. The NFL conducts an investigation for deflated footballs with discipline repercussions pending their findings. The NFL knew about tacifying spray, did nothing and allowed the continuance of its widespread use. How can any rational, non ratings grabbing, retweet hungry person entertain the notion that these actions are the same thing?
It's the first bit of football insight Jerry has offered that anyone has taken seriously. So he's got that going for him.

WRs use new gloves every game and some even change every half because nothing is as sticky as brand new gloves which get sprayed at the factory. Its 6-in-1… Jerry is still an idiot for even providing this fuel to the haters.

And now, don't all the Nike clothes comes with a built-in sticky exterior anyhow? And the newer they are, the stickier they are. So these WR's probably use new gloves each game. Also, what about Kurt Warner. Didn't the sticky gloves give him an unfair advantage over QB's who don't use the gloves? It's all really odd but I can understand the hypocrisy angle esp. when it comes from his own mouth and AFTER his comments about the Pats.
