How someone can be a 49er fan, and then pull for the Seahawks to win a championship, after all they have done to disrespect our organization, is beyond me.

49ers fans who pull for the Seahawks, or Giants fans who pull for the Dodgers clearly arent plugged in to what it means to be a fan of that team. Thats all im saying.

After everything the Seahawks have said about our team, if someone can still get behind them in any way, maybe that person isnt that into the Niners..

Thanks bro. I really needed to be told that I am not a 49er fan by you. I have said all along that 5>2 and that I was pulling for SEA mostly because of the threat to our legacy from NE. Now everyone is saying that Bellicheck and Brady are the greatest coach and QB to ever do it. I didn't want that especially with the scandals they've been around. To me I really dislike SEA right now but I've been a fan since the 80s and I really hate NYG DAL and GB much more than I hate SEA because of the history between us and those teams. If you were born last night then maybe you don't understand it but SEA as of the turn of the century entered this conference and this division. They were absolutely nothing prior to Mike Holmgren arriving. That franchise was a joke through and through. I hate the smug SEA fans and the slimy HC and the punk a$$ players but had SEA won they still aren't a flagship franchise nor a storied one. If I had my way CAR would have won it all but when it came down to SEA NE GB and IND I would have preferred SEA or IND to win it all because 5>2 or 3 or whatever less than the 4 that NE now has. They win 1 more and they've essentially trumped our dynasty in the minds of many and that won't sit well amongst my circle of friends and folk I know. I am glad you know my patronage and fanfare is of a fleeting nature because I have yet to realize this for myself.

Imitation is the purest form of flattery. SEA has mimicked and measured themselves against us since Jim's arrival. Pete saw us in 2011 winning by toting the pill and playing a complementary style of football. He then took the ball out of T Jack's hand and put it in Lynch's midseason 2011. He also discovered that to beat us you had to run and stop the run. He announced this on live TV prior to the game around Christmas in SEA. That offseason or maybe prior to they hired McCloughan drafted Wagner (Willis clone) Wilson (mobile QB like Kap) Sherman and Baldwin (Harbaugh's guys) signed our discarded players and a former player as coach was there (Ulbrich). They started saying on defense (Kam Chancellor) that their aim was to take away the run and make teams one dimensional in passing just like we preached all of 2011. They molded themselves to match up with and defeat us. They were obsessed with us as well as their fans and they finally surpassed us with a relentless work ethic and finer coaching. They are a bunch of a$$holes but they are basically us. When they win they shed light on what we are supposed to be. We are almost there so them winning only serves to make me and Jed York believe that we are headed in the right direction. Now the second NE won I was cat calling and whooping it up at the misery SEA and their fans would go through and I still love that right now. I am gleeful that those a$$holes cried their eyes out but I still reluctantly rooted for them because of my history as a fan plus I love Marshawn Lynch

Absolutely NOBODY is saying that Brady/Bellicheck is better than the niners without mentioning cheating.Taylor won the Bengals SB any damn way.

I agree. QBs and WRs and offenses in general are coddled by today's rules. Stats have gone up in this era and careers have been lengthened. Joe had to play football when he played. Brady is playing in an era where the QB is protected by the Secret Service so he should have better stats and a longer career. Then NE is aided by playing in a division in which their opponents haven't been anything approaching legitimacy all of this century. Since 2000 have MIA BUF and NYG been good with any consistency. NE is by far the weakest of any of the dynasties. But that's what the NFL wanted with the parity brought on by the cap era. Now I give NE a bunch of credit for thriving in the era, but the NFL since about 99ish has been comprised of very flawed teams that have won titles. It's just the nature of the beast. They like to say NE is a couple of miracle catches away from being 6-0 in the SB, but conversely they are also just as close to being 0-6. 4 titles by 3,3,3 and 4 points, that is far from dominate. Fact is neither this NE team or any of the 3 from 10 years ago stack up within 10-14 points of any of the pre cap era dynasties.

Personally I could care less who thinks NE is the greatest dynasty. All that matters to me is what I believe. As for the fans saying that Seattle is not our biggest rival, stop living in the 80's and 90's. Seattle is our biggest rival because they have taken the division from us and have embarrassed us on a national level for the past 2 years. Anyone who still thinks that NYG, GB, and Dallas are still our biggest rivals need to wake up and smell the 21st century because those so called rivalries aren't even relevant anymore.

Were you around watching as a fan during the 80s and 90s? I was and I still hate those teams. I got one life to live and none team to root for and in my time those three teams rank higher than SEA. Now 2012 fans might see otherwise but not I. Someday SEA might rise up my rankings but right now they are a one time champ all time. Now today they are the team I root for to lose so that we can win this division but all time I could care less. Once we were out I rooted for SEA in both Super Bowls. Are you trying to call me a bandwagon fan? Lol. I was born in 1985, so no, I don't remember the 80's. I also can't tell you when or why I became a fan but i could spend days telling you why I love this team. I was born and grew up just outside of Philly. All my family members are big time NFC East fans. I grew up watching a whole lot of football and sometime during my early, early childhood years I became a fan of this franchise. Like I said, I don't remember when but I know it was well before 1994 and I still remember being pissed off at them replacing Joe Montana. In fact I still to this day can't stand Steve Young but I do respect him and what he did for this franchise. All I'm saying is that those teams of the 80's and 90's are long gone and have no bearing on the present. In the relative present, the only team to give us a headache consistently is Seattle and so that is where my resentment lies.

Brady and Belichick never passed us up. Brady has lost 2 Super Bowls and thrown 4 SB picks. He will never be like Montana.

Seattle going back to back in the cap era wouldve armed their moronic fans with enough ammo to talk crap for the next 20 years.

The Seahawks players and fans as a whole are THE most obnoxious, arrogant, classless, and fairweather organization in sports.

They showed us ZERO respect. They talk crap about us on TV and on social media. They threw food on NaVorro Bowman when he was being carted out. They ate turkey on our logo. They have done SO many classless things, even though we always take the high road afterwards.

I cannot respect them in any way for the way they act. I wanted nothing more than to see them fall on their face in the Super Bowl. Karma caught up to them, and it was awesome. Nothing quite like justice.

As a lifelong 49er fan, I hated watching them do and say all those things to our organization, only to be rewarded with ridiculous luck.

It wouldve been nice if the Colts couldve won it all and eliminated both the Pats and Seahawks, but as far as im concerned, the "Montana or Brady?" ship has sailed. Brady already crapped the bed in the SB, so Montana won.

Above all else I just didnt want Seattle to get away with all the arrogance and disrespect. The excruciatingly painful way they lost was fantastic. Their fans and their players had it coming.

Im not calling you a fake fan, I just cant see any scenario in which I would pull for Seattle to win after what theyve done.
