Are you trying to call me a bandwagon fan? Lol. I was born in 1985, so no, I don't remember the 80's. I also can't tell you when or why I became a fan but i could spend days telling you why I love this team. I was born and grew up just outside of Philly. All my family members are big time NFC East fans. I grew up watching a whole lot of football and sometime during my early, early childhood years I became a fan of this franchise. Like I said, I don't remember when but I know it was well before 1994 and I still remember being pissed off at them replacing Joe Montana. In fact I still to this day can't stand Steve Young but I do respect him and what he did for this franchise. All I'm saying is that those teams of the 80's and 90's are long gone and have no bearing on the present. In the relative present, the only team to give us a headache consistently is Seattle and so that is where my resentment lies.
During the season I root against my division first and foremost. Once the playoffs start and we aren't in it I pull for the team with the least number of Lombardi trophies. Yes I hate SEA as much as anyone but they aren't threatening our legacy all time as a one time champ. Regular season I wanted DAL NYG and GB to beat SEA but come playoff time I rooted for SEA vs any of those teams. That's just the way I think. A lot of my friends are PIT GB DAL NYG fans. None of them pull for us because we got five chips
