100% agreed.

It's now another developmental year.

I don't think Jimmy is too far away. He's already proven he can win games. We're actually closer now to winning a championship that we were before the injury, because we were trapped with a substandard pass rush and we'd finish with 8 or 10 wins, putting us out of contention for a game-changing pass rusher. With a "mulligan" season for Jimmy and McKinnon, and hopefully a new elite pass rushing rookie and more secondary help, we're right back in it.

This year, if we didn't have injuries to QB1 and RB1, we'd have been in contention for a playoff spot, but behind the Rams in our division. The Rams will have to vent off talent after this year, so in a weird way, the injury actually prevented us from flaming out too early. Being stuck in 8-8 land in the NFL is purgatory.

Revisiting this, it took a massive roster overhaul, that took YEARS.

Having said that to answer the original question, I'd say 5 players:

Joe Staley
Laken Tomlinson
Ben Garland
Mike Person/Dan Brunskill
Mike McGlinchey
About 6 weeks.

Looks like we're almost there. I would like Jimmy to go for over 300 yards and 3 tds this game to set some passing milestones to quiet the naysayers.
3070 miles. The rest is just a formality. Book it.
Defense has to get close enough to be like the one we saw the 1st 8 weeks of the Season shut down offenses left N right if the one we seen as of late continues to show from here on out we are definitely not surviving in the playoffs
Winston
Kyle Allen
Mason Rudolph
Jared Goff
Case keenum
Andy Dalton
Baker Mayfield

The defense looked great because of the s**tty QBs they faced in the first 7 weeks.

Since then they looked s**tty, except for the Packers game.

Injuries on the dline and coaches moving their qbs and having them throw the ball quick helps a lot too

Most QB's suck now. They looked good in the first half because their DL rotation was healthy. You cant just say "We only looked good because we faced crap QB", and then try to skip by the fact that we made top 5 all-time QB Aaron Rodgers have the worst game of his career.

Being down Ford, Jones, and Blair is MASSIVE. Our key was rotating DL to constantly have fresh, top tier DL rushing the passer. Now we have nobody to spell Bosa, Buckner, and Armstead.
40 days!
Zero, because we already have 5 of them.
